Creative SiN (Strength In Numbers) promotes collaboration,and support of progressive thinking independent professionals in performance, production & creative industries. Creative SIN evolved out of Public-i, the specialist publicity and event company, headed up by Clive Leighton. Concern that for creative minds and companies it was a fragile line between being independent and isolation became a reality the more he worked in the wide and diverse fields of;

establishing and trouble-shooting music festivals and concerts e.g. Bloodstock Metal Festivals, NEC'S Music Live, Future Perfect
stage management,
unifying media
writing license applications and industry & Council proposals
sourcing & managing: performers, technical personnel, equipment
event promotion, publicity & marketing, becoming a regular BBC Online contributor
working alongside venues,
UK-wide training courses mentoring with University of Northampton accreditation
establishment of High Peak Radio via a House of Commons bill. writing newspaper columns for over 15 years
managing acts
running hotel events and bars

With Clive regularly embracing the same "like minded" personnel who gave without asking but resented "takers" over "receivers", he realised that the foundations of a self supporting network of creative people was being established. He decided that a cross genre, all UK network members directory partnering regular network evenings should be the way forward. Clive took the concept on the road across Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and London establishing the foundations about what exactly SiN could offer and how. The twin events of landing the job as General Manager at Carbon, part of London's largest premier hotel - The Cumberland - and cementing his friendship with media and music legend Steve Blacknell (together as Morecambe and otherWise) accelerated the London network. Steve's enthusiasm in helping establish the network events in London was pivotal in helping to launch the evenings. Steve now runs his successful "Waffle" club - a social and music get together. SIN's (Strength In Numbers) core principle is that all creatives should be “Independent but not Alone. If you are Creative.... A musician, comedian, performer, photographer, organiser, make up artist, journalist, promoter, designer, film maker, screenwriter, writer, burlesque performer, dancer, magician, comedian, dj, artist, social media, marketing, producer, publicist, crew, PA company, Lighting, poet, magician, designer, broadcaster, model, dancer, actor, painter, web designer, audio engineer, fire eater, performer manager, service provider, industry lawyer, distributor, cd duplicator, recording engineer/ studio, radio plugger, label, agency, product supplier, venue etc...? (Or anything else we may have left out) We want YOU to join our rapidly-growing network and directory of creatives. Our aim is to put creative people together with other individuals and ventures who can help each other provide business opportunities and support. For example, if you're a musician, we can put you in touch with record labels, recording studios, promoters, venues, set designers, photographers etc. If you're a solicitor specialising in entertainment law, we can hook you up with clients looking for representation. That's how it works. It's like a professional dating agency for creative people and all the industries surrounding them. Future Plans: In addition to our creative directory and regional networking nights we are also introducing internal and external offers and discounts. Once we establish Glasgow and Manchester - to accompany fortnightly London nights - we'll be bringing Liverpool, Edinburgh, Leeds, Portsmouth, Birmingham and obvious others on-line on a monthly basis to balance the Glasgow, Manchester, London spine. We'll need hosts to work alongside Clive and ultimately we'll be looking at charging for memberships. But for those of you who attend, register support or who apply by a certain deadline, you'll be an Original SiNner and enjoy lifetime memberships. From there on in you'll be able to offer discount memberships to friends and colleagues whilst also earning commission - just like a real company but operating in a creative way by creative people. In this way you don't have to give away your hard earned contacts. You can introduce your friends to all your contacts and their contacts, allowing people to make their own decisions on who to contact. SiN takes your business and your creativity seriously. We believe that it's easier to make it when there's strength in numbers. Together, everyone you meet will take you more seriously than an isolated voice, and we want to bring you together into one powerful collective so that our voices can be heard in unison; a choir of creatives. Our first London SiN was 16th July 2014 and we currently meet every 2nd Wednesday. With Manchester - Clive's home for over 20 years - now meeting monthly hosted by Janette McSkimming and Clive returning to his home town of Glasgow, SiN is ready to progress and introduce other city "hubs" in 2015. Please drop Clive a line via FB, [email protected] or call 07882 352 742 to get involved on any level.

Sham Rocks Music Festival 2026 Performer call out!
Sat 16 & Sun 17 May. New Milton, The New Forest. Hampshire.

Do you want to play on one of our 3 stages?
* Main Stage for Tributes
* Firefly Festivals Stage for Covers and Originals
* The GiG Stage for Originals

If so, get your applications in by visiting www.fireflyfestivals.co.uk/applytoplay and follow the instructions.

We'll consider ALL kinds of music but the Sham Rocks Music Festival 2026 demographic favours the more upbeat and less thrashy/ punk kind of stuff. As Festival and Event consultants and Artist Representatives, we'd always keep every act on record for other possibilities anyhoo, so spread the word and apply!

Sorry, we don't accept any applications via Messenger or WhatsApp - all submissions go via the website direction. Our process embraces a FREE industry designed Press Kit which can be used for other festivals and events submissions.

We won't approach any act that is tagged here as they may not be available or interested (for some strange reason) - please consider forwarding this post or share it with them instead so they can apply directly.

All emails will be replied to.
