With questions on a wide range of topics from q***r culture to history and so much more our quiz night is the perfect opportunity to test your knowledge

The quiz will be on Kahoot and you are welcome and encouraged to participate in teams

The quiz will take place on Wednesday 11th February in the Boyd Orr room 709B and will start at 7PM

Do you have any special interests or deep passions that you want to be able to rant about to a captive audience? Well, at our presentation night, anyone is free to come up and give a talk about any topic they want (within reason)! We'll be allocating 10 minutes for each speaker, and although this is not a hard limit, we might cut people off if they go over the limit so make sure to prepare it under.
The room will have wall-mounted screens on which you can present your PowerPoint on. If your presentation touches on any sensitive topics, be sure to include a list of content warnings at the start. We'd ask you to avoid any topics that may cause discomfort e.g. current politics - if you're unsure what is appropriate, please contact us or our Welfare Officer!
Wondering how to bring along your PowerPoint? You can either bring it along on a USB drive, or email it to us before the event at [email protected], although we ask that if you bring it on a USB drive, you should still let us know via email that you'll be presenting.

We will be hosting an EGM to elect new: VP Secretary*, Postmat Officer**, and Communications and Technology Officer
This will take place:
Boyd Orr Room 709B (floor 7)
Wednesday 4th February at 7PM

We will start with constitutional amendments, approved by simple majority vote (these need to be submitted 72 hours before EGM to [email protected])

Each applicant for a role will have 2 minutes to speak (3 for VP sec) and then 2 minutes to answer questions
A majority of votes is needed to be elected, if there is not a majority, the candidate with the least votes will be removed and then voting held again

You do not have to fill out the form (in comments) to run for a position but it is useful to fill so that we know in advance

*VP Sec applicants would preferably have a year of experience on a committee before

**Postmat officer must be enrolled in a postgraduate course or be 21+ at the start of their undergraduate course

TW: Mention of conversion therapy.

Join us Wednesday January 21st as we watch ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’, a satirical romantic comedy film that depicts Megan as she is sent to a conversion therapy camp but who ultimately comes to accept and embrace her identity as a le***an. The film will begin at 7pm and will be shown in room 709B in the Boyd Orr Building.
