Lambhill Stables has been active in engaging with and working with local young people since 2008. Our aim is to occupy young people in constructive activity, building their confidence and self-esteem, encouraging active lifestyles using the amenities on their doorstep. We currently run a wide range of activities outdoors at our Youth Hub due to current Covid-19 restrictions such as:
- P5-7s Club (
Wednesdays 5pm-7pm)
- S1+ Youth Club (Thursdays 5pm-7pm)
- S1+ Youth Club (Fridays 5pm-7pm)
- p5-7s Club (Saturdays 2pm-4pm)
Our sessions include :
- Awareness Workshops (on various social issues as well as health & well-being)
- Health & Well-being
- Outdoor pursuits such as Cycling; Running; Canoeing & Kayaking
- Youth Awards (Hi5, Dynamic Youth Awards, DofE)
- Arts & Crafts
- Sociable Games and Activities, developing youth peer relationships and building self-esteem and confidence. We place considerable emphasis on youth work and integrating with our wider economic, social and environmental activities. We offer youth participatory awards such as John Muir Awards, Saltire Awards, First Aid, Snow Sport Awards, through workshops, trips and activities.
