A joint birthday celebration yesterday in the club, with a shared cake, for Eddie & Tommy! Wishing them both many happy returns of the day! 🎉🎈🍰🎉🎈🍰

On the menu was: a return of the cauliflower soup, chicken wrapped in bacon & old school caramel cake & custard! 👩‍🍳👩‍🍳👩‍🍳😋

Summer Outing for our members:
We have narrowed it down to one of 2 trips on The Waverley!
1. Friday 10th July is a shorter trip, leaving the Glasgow Science Centre @ 09.30, a short 1&1/2 hr onshore at Rothesay, returning 18.00.
2. Monday 10th August is a longer trip, leaving the Science Centre @ 09.30 & returning @ 20.40, by coach from Largs.
However this gives the option during the trip of a 4hr visit to Arran or remaining on the ship for a cruise round Ailsa Craig/Holy Isle.

Please let me know which you would prefer so we can get it booked in! 🚢⚓️🧭🌞

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of one of our much-loved and long-standing members, Willie Fleming, who sadly passed away on 22nd April at the age of 96 💔
Willie will be truly missed by us all, and we send our sincere condolences to his family and friends at this very sad time.
His funeral service will be held next Tuesday 12th May at 10am at Greenock Crematorium.

What a beautiful day! 🌞
A lovely lunch of carrot & coriander soup, pork & roasties and peachy Whiteinch mess! 😋🥕🥩🍑 Then we celebrated our lovely Mhairi's birthday with a rainbow cake....many happy returns to you! 🌈🎂🎉

And what a treat....Willie brought in eggs from the farm to take away!! 🥚🍳🥚

Hope to see you same place, same time next week.
Meantime, we have a summer outing to plan!! 🤔💡🚍⛴️☺️

A berry nice day & another birthday to celebrate in the Club today! 🍓🫐🎂

On the menu was lentil soup, corned beef hash & éclairs! 😋 It was quiet today so, if you've not been for a while, we'd love to see you back! Still amazing value for a 3-course meal....& today with added cake! 🍰

Many happy returns to our star baker of dumplings & curry king Jimmy - hope you enjoyed your special day! 🎉

Yesterday we were joined by our favourite apprentices, Margaret's granddaughters Erin & Megan. They set up, peeled, chopped, mashed, stirred, served, chatted & cleared up - they were a great help! You can come back any time girls!! 👏🌟👏🌟
On the menu was broth, Govan caviar (mince & tatties!) & apple pie! 😋

We also had a wonderful surprise when one of our lovely lady members, Christine, gave us a kind donation. She enjoys crafting as a hobby & raises funds for seafarers by selling her beautiful work at craft fayres. 🪡🖼🪢💮
She says that she does it to give something back....for the help that she received from the service as her late husband was in the M.N. 🫶🙏

Today our members enjoyed a menu of lentil soup, gammon & roasties and rice pudding & fruit 😋

Cream eggs & whisky miniatures were handed out after lunch.....wishing a very Happy Easter to all!

So we celebrated another birthday today! 🥳
Many happy returns Colin....glad you enjoyed your special day on Sunday!! 🎉🎈🍰🎊

On the menu today was lentil soup, pork chops & lemon meringue pie (slightly "carmelised" but still tasty! 😆🔥👩‍🍳👩‍🍳👩‍🍳) And, of course, there had to be cake!! 🎂😋
