🎨✨ BLACKHILL - WE NEED YOUR IDEAS! ✨🎨

Something exciting is coming to Blackhill! Thanks to support from the Glasgow Festival Fund, the Community Centre is getting a brand-new mural - and YOU can help design it.

Mural artist Alex Coyle (Alko) wants to hear from local people about what makes Blackhill special. From community memories and local history to the people, places, and stories that matter most, this artwork will be created with the community, for the community.

💡 Got ideas? Come along to one of our free workshops:

📍 Tuesday 16th June | 4:30pm - 6pm
St Paul’s Church Hall (during Community Meal)

📍 Wednesday 17th June | 9:30am - 11am
Molendinar Community Centre Café

📍 Thursday 18th June | 7pm - 9pm
Youth Club, St Paul’s Church

🖌️ Everyone is welcome, whether you’re full of ideas, love local history, or just want to see something amazing created in Blackhill.

Let’s create something the whole community can be proud of!

Our Empower Up programme will be staring up again in August!

The programme supports young autistic people aged 12-18 across Scotland. Empower Up is designed to help understand their autistic identity, build confidence, develop social strategies, improve wellbeing and connect with peers to reduce isolation.

The group is open to young autistic people across Scotland, with both hybrid and online options available. Spaces are limited.

Our sign-ups for our primary school Summer Holiday Club are open! 😎☀️⛱️ Please read all info carefully before signing up.

As always, spaces are limited to a capped number and we cannot guarantee places. You will be notified by text whether you have a place or not. The club will run Monday-Friday from Monday 29th June-Friday 31st July. Each day will have fun activities, lunch and snacks provided 🥳⚽️🎨🥪🍝🍎

The club is not open to children who will only be starting Primary 1 in August. For those who are P7 leavers, we will have youth activities running through the summer for that age and up which are separate to the Holiday Club and will be advertised at a later date. P7 leavers are welcome to attend whichever programme they’d prefer, or a mix of the two.
