Swamp Creative Media Centre Swamp creating opportunities through creation Welcome to the SWAMP CREATIVE MEDIA CENTRE page.

We are a registered Charity operating from a large multimedia arts venue in Pollok situated in the South West area of Glasgow. We work with a wide and varied range of people from the local community, providing training opportunities for young people on behalf of Skills Development Scotland, Careers Scotland, Glasgow City Council, Colleges and other service providers. We also provide a number of Co

mmercial services such as Corporate Video production, Media Training, Green Screen Hire and have flexible spaces within our centre available to Hire or Let. Our large centre on Barnbeth Road is home to a large fully equipped Green Screen studio, a multi-purpose Art room, an IT Suite, and a full production 48 Track Digital recording studio and Rehearsal Space. We try to showcase all the work we do on this page, whether its film and adverts created by our Employability groups or a Musical collaboration with the Princes trust one-week taster sessions - Get Into Music. Our staff and students engage creatively in all sorts of Art & Media activities, ensuring that there is a place for anyone to learn at SWAMP! The media we post is only a small amount of what we actually do here, as we believe that the journey taken in these projects is much more educational than the outcome - so give us a call and come down and see for yourself! Our Employability Trainees are hosting a Cultural Fusion Event on Saturday 13th June, from 11:00am – 2:00pm.

We are still looking for tombola prize donations. If you are able to contribute, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

The NCVO tells us almost three-quarters (74%) of volunteers agreed that volunteering had given them more confidence

Brenda, one of our Pantry volunteers shared this –

“Volunteering has given me a sense of purpose, somewhere to go that’s light and free from responsibility. A place to use the skills I have gained and use them for good. I like to meet people and help people and to give back to the local community in a small way.
The people here at SWAMP have been very welcoming and have understood that for a some of us a few hours spent helping others is a confidence boost.
P.S the café does a mean roll and sausage!”
