💬 Loneliness can affect anyone.

This Loneliness Awareness Week, we're joining the conversation and helping to give loneliness a voice.

We know that sometimes the first step towards feeling more connected is simply having somewhere to go and someone to talk to.

Our community drop-in cafés provide a welcoming space to meet others, enjoy a cuppa, and feel part of your local community.

You don't need an appointment. Just come along.

Find your nearest drop-in café and learn more about our services:

It was a privilege to attend the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland this week.

It was an encouraging reminder of the importance of faith, service, and leadership in public life, and the role we can all play in building stronger communities.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect with others who are committed to serving people and places with compassion, integrity, and hope.

We were delighted to be part of this important event in Greenock alongside partners from across Inverclyde's recovery community.

Listening to people with lived and living experience is vital if we want to build services, support, and opportunities that genuinely meet people's needs. Recovery is strengthened when people's voices are heard, valued, and help shape the future.

A huge thank you to the Inverclyde ADP Team and Tracey McFall from the Scottish Recovery Consortium for facilitating such an engaging and insightful session, and to all those who shared their experiences and perspectives.

💬 This week, Street Connect attended another Humanising Healthcare Conversation Café at the University of Glasgow.

These events bring together medical students and people with lived experience of addiction and recovery to have open, honest conversations about dignity, trauma, hope, recovery and the realities of healthcare.

We were particularly inspired by John's powerful story of recovery and the discussions that followed, which highlighted the importance of listening to lived experience in shaping future healthcare practice.

Read more about the event and why these conversations matter on our website.
