Spider Arts

Spider Arts Spider Arts (SCIO) is a Community Arts and wellbeing charity. We aim to support communities by facilitating access to the arts for everyone.

We offer community arts projects, art therapy, murals, events and arty parties across Central Scotland. We believe creativity has the power to positively influence the people we work with, their families & the environment. By creating opportunities to engage in the arts, we endeavour to enhance the wellbeing of our participants and empower them to affect change within their own lives and communities and inspire others.

We love this event!! Looking forward to being part of it again this year with our wonderful young volunteers!

Glasgow’s biennial Contemporary and Community Storytelling Festival brings together an exciting range of events, offering something for everyone.

We will kick off our festivities on our home turf with the amazing Pollok Kite Fest on Sunday 24th May. Pollok Hill will be a sea of colour with arts & crafts, performance and, of course, kites!

Full programme drop is tomorrow!
Stay tune xx

A vibrant promotional poster for the Village Storytelling Festival's Kite Fest on 24 May.
The top features bold geometric shapes in teal, purple, and yellow. The central photo shows a woman in a black-and-white patterned dress smiling as she holds up a large, rainbow-colored kite with long streamers. She is carrying a young child in a grey fabric sling. They are standing in a grassy park with other festival-goers visible in the background.
The bottom of the poster includes a blue border with a QR code and various organizational logos.

We just had week 3 of the course and it's going great so far.
We have 13 young people who are really enjoying creating their own comic on subjects that matter to them led by a pair of great artists Pearl and Neil from Spider Arts. Strangefields Studio are providing us with the perfect studio for them to create and develop their ideas
A lot more exiting announcements coming soon, and please remember

"Give young people the tools and they will build their own futures"
