University of Glasgow Duke of Edinburgh Award Group Stand out with your Duke of Edinburgh's Award! Join us for fun, adventure, to make a difference and add a Gold (Award) touch to your CV.

We are a student society run by students to help deliver the DofE Gold Award. The DofE Gold Award runs until you are 25, requires a minimum of 18 months to complete, and has 5 components at the Gold level. These are:

Volunteering - Help out in the local area of Glasgow! Maybe at a charity shop, sports club or local environmental group. Skills - Learn a new skill such as archery, kitting or playin

g a musical instrument! Maybe even do extreme ironing...

Physical Recreation - Keep fit and healthy by joining a new sport or maybe continuing one you have already been doing. Residential - Spend at least 5 days volunteering away from home: from a month helping in a Swedish green collective to a week tall ship sailing on the English Channel. Expedition - This is the section we help out most with. Spend 4 days walking and camping, navigating and fending for yourself.
