Members of the group recently went through to Edinburgh to join Amnesty International Scotland activists to discuss ideas, priority issues and campaigns and to encourage joined up working across Human Rights matters.

The event concluded with a demonstration outside the Scottish Parliament promoting the proposed Human Rights Bill for Scotland.

Refugees at Home came to our June meeting and since then we've been learning more about their work.

They are an inspiring charity who connect those with a spare room to refugees and people seeking asylum - and they're looking for more hosts in Glasgow!

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, 7.30pm–9pm at Woodlands Methodist Church.

🌍 We’re very excited to welcome Chris Ramsay, Amnesty International UK’s Country Co-ordinator for Turkiye, as our guest speaker.

As Turkiye is our group’s country of focus, we’re particularly looking forward to hearing Chris’s insights into the current human rights situation and the work being done to support Turkish Individuals at Risk.

It's amazing to see our banner for Uyghur solidarity month at SOAS Gallery!

The exhibition is on until the 13th of September and is definitely worth a visit to see the incredible achievements of Amnesty activists!

You do need to register as the Wolfson gallery is in SOAS library, but it’s free, quick, and easy to register so do it 💚
