For one day only, we’re heading to historic Dunblane to join the brilliant Central Scotland School of Craft Dunblane for a beginner friendly masterclass in multi-layered textile screen printing.

We’ll be transforming their workshop space into a pop-up print studio, where in just 2.5 hours you’ll learn how to build a multi-colour screen print through the traditional processes of drawing, registration and hand printing, creating your own printed tote bag to take home.

This is a hands-on introduction to textile screen printing, using the same equipment and expertise found at our open access studio in Glasgow.

If you’re local to Dunblane and have always wanted to try screen printing but haven’t made it through to our Glasgow studio, this is your chance! 🥳

Spaces are limited and can be booked via the Central Scotland School of Craft website on link in our bio. 🎟️

Volunteer with Print Clan!

We’re looking to recruit new, enthusiastic volunteers to support us with day-to-day studio tasks, from cleaning and tidying to organising materials and helping out during workshops and events.

In return, you’ll earn studio time back through our timebanking scheme, giving you access to our facilities and membership to work on your own textile printing projects.

This opportunity is ideal for a textile student or recent graduate, or Print Clan member with knowledge in textile screen printing who’s looking to gain hands-on experience in a creative and supportive studio environment.

Deadline to apply: Friday 21st August 5pm

Print Clan: From Plants - Workshops are now live!

As part of Print Clan: From Plants, A Weekend of Exploring Natural Colour for Textiles, we’re excited to launch two hands-on workshops with long time Print Clan members at an affordable entry point to encourage participation in sustainable textile practices.

Saturday 8th August - Printing with Patterns & Colours From Plants with Molly MacFin & Elinor Scarth:

Discover how plants can become pigments for screen printing. Learn about the plants behind the colours, from growing and harvesting to creating your own naturally printed textile samples.

Sunday 9th August - Indigo Dyeing & Eco Printing with Keng Keng Tang:

Explore the heritage process of indigo dyeing and learn how plants, leaves and botanical materials can be used to create unique textile designs onto fabric samples using eco printing.

This programme is subsidised by Creative Scotland Multi-Year Funding, allowing us to offer high quality workshops, delivered by expert makers at as low and accessible of a price-point as possible (£30 per ticket) for this one-time, unique event.

Places are very limited and can be booked via the link in our bio, or visit our workshops page. 🌿

As part of our Timebanker Programme, we’re delighted to present a vibrant exhibition showcasing a selection of work by our talented Timebankers.

Our Timebankers are all members of Print Clan who earn studio time in exchange for helping with workshops, events, and studio tasks. They are an invaluable part of the Print Clan community, bringing energy, creativity, and support to everything we do.

As well as using their earned hours to access the studio, Timebankers can learn new printmaking skills and progress onto paid opportunities, including teaching workshops and working on print and merchandise projects.

This exhibition celebrates their creativity, dedication, and talent as artists and designers. We hope you’ll enjoy discovering their incredible work.

A definite MUST-SEE!

COMING SOON: Print Clan: From Plants

Join us at Print Clan Studio for a weekend of experimentation with natural dyes and plant-based pigments in textile screen printing.

Working with plant-based pigments and dyes is often presented as something exclusive: requiring specialist equipment, technical expertise, or extensive research before you can even begin. We want to challenge that.

This weekend is about making the first steps into natural colour more approachable and accessible, creating a space for complete beginners, experienced practitioners, and the naturally curious to experiment together.
Our aim is to build a community of natural dye makers and enthusiasts who can collectively develop a shared resource for working with natural colour in textile screen printing.

The Refugee Festival is well underway, and you may have spotted some colourful T-shirts being worn (and printed!) by the festival volunteers. ☀️

In less than three hours in a workshop, they printed 70 T-shirts, each featuring a completely unique three-colour combination of the festival logo and a pattern motif taken from this year’s poster to mark the occasion.

We’re honoured to have taken part again this year in a festival celebrating the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🖤

We recently completed a series of three free taster sessions with SAMH, Glasgow's Golden Generation and Project Ability, giving members of their communities the chance to explore wellbeing through creativity, and get a taste of how our weekly Print Club sessions at the Deep End run.

It was fantastic to reach new people and see what could be achieved in just one hour - with lots of people trying screen printing for the first time, designing and printing their own custom tote bags and leaving with a unique piece of work they had created themselves - and hopefully joining us again at Print Club!
