The Refugee Festival is well underway, and you may have spotted some colourful T-shirts being worn (and printed!) by the festival volunteers. ☀️

In less than three hours in a workshop, they printed 70 T-shirts, each featuring a completely unique three-colour combination of the festival logo and a pattern motif taken from this year’s poster to mark the occasion.

We’re honoured to have taken part again this year in a festival celebrating the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🖤

We recently completed a series of three free taster sessions with SAMH, Glasgow's Golden Generation and Project Ability, giving members of their communities the chance to explore wellbeing through creativity, and get a taste of how our weekly Print Club sessions at the Deep End run.

It was fantastic to reach new people and see what could be achieved in just one hour - with lots of people trying screen printing for the first time, designing and printing their own custom tote bags and leaving with a unique piece of work they had created themselves - and hopefully joining us again at Print Club!

This time last weekend we had the pleasure of learning all things natural dyes from experts Lara and Flo at Ceres Studio.

Our trip to their Brixton studio in London was the perfect introduction to making natural dyes work for screen printing and so inspiring to see the range of colours from different recipes and processes, and their approach to low waste and circular making.

(and also so much fun getting to be students for once - even if we were the students asking far too many questions!!)

Watch this space for more natural dyes coming to the Print Clan studio soon! 🌿

DRAWN TO PRINT with Fraser Taylor - Summer 2026

Join us for a two-day immersive course exploring large-scale textile printing, guided by internationally renowned artist Fraser Taylor.

Working across screen and mono-print techniques, you’ll move between drawing and printing to build layered and expressive lengths of original printed cloth whilst developing your own personal body of work.

The course encourages material exploration, the relationship between art and textiles, and ambitious making within an intensive small-group setting. So whether you’re a beginner or an experienced creative, this workshop is an opportunity to take risks, push your process, and gain insight from one of Scotland’s most innovative artists.

We've added additional dates this year due to demand - with June already sold out, and only one space for July left!

Book the remain spaces now at printclan.co.uk/workshops or via the link in our bio.

We’ve been putting our GOCCO printer to good use lately 🖨️

We set up a mini print studio in another local high school's art department, helping students bring their own sketches and drawings to life by printing them onto GOCCO mesh, which is then stretched over DIY frames made from cardboard or wooden embroidery hoops. All ready for washing, re-stretching, and printing with again and again during their studies 👏

A series of beautiful (and sun-drenched!) artworks now on display at Strange Field 🌞

Created in collaboration with PEEK and facilitated by artist and Print Clan member Poppy Nash, their six-month project explored archives, memory, and collaborative making with young people aged 14–16 in the East End. We had the joy of supporting the group to screen print their final designs (in only two sessions!! 👏 👏).

Their experiments were exposed onto screens and built up through layers of opaque and transparent inks, bringing together sketches, drawings, and poetry developed across workshops with guest artists and makers.

The final pieces have been stitched together and embroidered, resulting in so many vibrant, collective artworks that captures the spirit of their wonderful group exploration and collaboration - well done!

Looking back on these beautiful multi-colour tea towels we printed for Flourish House at !

A really rewarding project that saw us adapting our t-shirt carousel to accomodate larger format printing, upgrading to longer platens and bigger screens and lots of .

The finished pieces became commemorative Christmas gifts, marking the merger between Flourish House and GAMH Community Hub. The designs are full of character, celebrating the hub’s activities and the people who make it what it is. The more you look, the more fun you spot (our personal favourite is the Henry Hoover)
