The Purpose of Partick Thistle Charitable Trust is to Promote Health & Well Being, Football, Education, Citizenship and Inclusion to our local community. 🔴 THANK YOU, CALEDONIAN LOCOMOTIVES 🟡

A huge thank you to Caledonian Locomotives for generously donating their football kits to our Accepting Activity participants.

While it’s sad to see the club fold and withdraw from the West of Scotland Football League, their legacy will continue through the positive impact this donation will have on those who attend our sessions and enjoy the game they love.

Accepting Activity is a free football programme for adults aged 18 and over, open to all, with a particular focus on supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, asylum seekers, refugees, those who are unemployed, and individuals experiencing homelessness.

Sessions take place every Monday and Thursday from 3pm–5pm. Participants receive a free meal and water after each session, and football boots and kit can be provided on request.

We are always grateful for donations of football boots and kit. If you have any items you would like to donate, they can be dropped off at the front reception of Petershill Park.

🔴 SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMPS 🟡

It’s now just two weeks until our popular summer football camps return!

Open to children aged 5–13, these camps provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment where young players can develop their football skills, build confidence, and make new friends.

Each day will focus on a different football theme, with participants taking part in a variety of technical drills, skill-based activities, teamwork exercises, and small-sided games. Alongside improving their technique, players will learn the importance of fair play, respect, and working together as a team.

Sessions are delivered by experienced UEFA Youth A Licensed coaches from the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust, whom are also involved within the Partick Thistle Youth Academy programme.

Delighted to launch our new Partick Thistle Charitable Trust Macron kit through our kit supplier KitKing.

Massive thanks to our first ever Trust front of shirt sponsor!

It was great to welcome David and Donna from Greenwood Moreland Insurance Brokers here at Petershill Park to launch this kit.

Greenwood Moreland’s kind sponsorship allows the Charity to invest in community programmes whilst wearing the new Macron kit.

🔴 FOR OUR OWN 🟡

A huge thanks to Ben, Niamh, Nia and Ben from the University of Stirling for producing the mini-doc, ‘For Our Own’, covering Accepting Activity and the Memorial Cup held for former participant Robert ‘Rab’ Richardson.

Back in March we held a Memorial Cup against for former participant Robert Richardson, who sadly passed away in October 2025. £2067 from the match was raised for our Holiday Food Programme, providing fresh meals & snacks, as well as daily sports & activities for children living in the North of Glasgow.

Our popular Summer Football Camps are back at Petershill Park!

Get ready for an exciting day of football as we celebrate before Scotland’s World Cup match! Join us for a free football session for children of all abilities, where they can enjoy fun games, develop their skills, and share in the excitement of supporting Scotland. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends, stay active, and be part of the match-day atmosphere. Beat the Goalie will also be on with participants having the chance to score into a Partick Thistle goalkeeper. Come along, wear your Scotland colours, and enjoy the beautiful game! ⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Snacks will be available afterwards, and the Lounge at Petershill Park will be open for pool, darts, coffee/tea for parents and Scotland’s famous goals will be on display on the TV.

🔴 SUMMER OF FOOTBALL - NEW PROGRAMMES COMING SOON 🟡

In partnership with the Summer of Football, we have some new programmes coming over the course of this summer!

Girls/Women’s Recreational Football is starting on Sunday 28th June, between 3pm-5pm, for six consecutive weeks. This session is for girls or women of any ages to come and participate in football. The session is open to any age groups and abilities. Sessions will be ran in partnership with Partick Thistle Women and will be led by qualified female coaches. Sign-up is available now via https://ptct.classforkids.io/camp/73 or alternatively you can sign up on the day at the front desk of Petershill Park.

Walking Football will restart on Friday 26th June between 1pm-3pm for six consecutive Friday’s. This is a free football session for one hour, with tea/coffee/biscuits, pool and darts available for participants to have a blether and a biscuit after the session. Sign up at main reception of Petershill Park, all participants welcome.

We will also be starting our Free Fitba for All session in August. This session will offer free football on a Saturday, aiming to get young people out of trouble and engaged in organised sporting activity. More information will be available on this programme shortly.

Our summer football camps are returning this summer to Petershill Park!

These camps are available for children aged 5-13, offering a fun learning experience, focusing on specific skills and drills, teamwork, fairplay and respect. Each day will follow specific football related themes which will allow participant to develop their technique through individual and group practices as well as small-sided games. Sessions will be delivered by Partick Thistle Charitable Trust coaches who also coach in the Partick Thistle Youth Academy setup.
