Hi Guys, we just wanted to share an update with you. We have made the decision to end the summer program a week early this year. This decision has been taken for a number of reasons, which ultimately all come back to us not being happy with the current service that we are offering to the community, for which both Claire and I take full responsibility.

Well-Fed’s founding principles were to tackle food insecurity, promote social connectedness and empower our community to make changes that they want to in their community and we feel that those principles have been sidelined with the range of activities currently on offer.

As many of you will be aware, with the exception of the GCHPF, Well-Fed is fully self-funded, with the funds for social activities being generated from our trading activities. It takes a lot of work from a lot of people to ensure that Well-Fed remains fully self-sustainable and it has been in this area where we have had to put much of our focus over the past 2 – 3 years.

We made the decision this year not to apply to the GCHFP fund, as we were not confident in being able to attract and engage those most in need of this type support and we felt other organisations across the city were better placed this year to utilise this limited resource. Hence the reduced service that has been on offer this summer.

As many of you will be aware, our agreement with Knightswood and Anniesland Trinity Church to let St David’s hall has come to an end for a number of reasons, but primarily due to cost, this was further compounded with an incoming rent increase of 150% as of September 2025.

We will use this time over the next couple of months to evaluate and plan and when we re-open the kids club, we will do so with a clear plan in place and with a range of opportunities for our community to help shape this.

We hope soon to have a new building Soley dedicated to the social programs that we run and when we relaunch, we will come bigger and better than ever!! For the time being, keep an eye on our page for updates and we look forward to welcoming you all back again really soon.

We want to thank all of the families who have attended this year and we hope that you have enjoyed the program.

Good morning lovely people! 😊

Here at the plans for today 👇

We will be meeting at Partick train station at 10.30am to get the Balloch Central. We will aim for the 10.49 train 😊
Cost is £7.30 return for adults and kids go for £1 with Scotrail.

Packed lunch will be provided

We will enjoy all that Balloch has to offer, the Country Park, the pier and play park.

Can’t wait to see you all soon! 🩷

Evening guys we will be going on a day trip to balloch country park , we are meeting at Partick train station at 10:30am your welcome to join us here or meet us in balloch.
Lynda will publish train times and costs in the morning 🌅
Please note there is quite abit of walking to get to the park so please consider if it’s suitable for your family

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday 😊

Here are todays’s plans 👇

We are going on a mural hunt today! 👏👏👏 The city centre murals are fabulous and there are so many too see.

We will meet at the park for 11.30am, make our packed lunches and head off around 12pm, we can sit somewhere lovely like the riverside…😊

We will have dinner back at the park for 5pm and then we will get moving and have fun making our own assault course! 👏👏👏
