With the summer months upon us, Company Section boys headed east for a visit to Foxlake Adventures in Dunbar. Having donned wet suits and buoyancy aids, boys took to the giant inflatable aqua park, traversing the various obstacles and conquering the pyramid, before having a go on the ringos, being pulled along by cable at speed on a giant rubber ring. With the weather in our favour all day, the trip was great fun. More to follow at Summer Camp this August.

🌊💦 Our Company Section is having a fantastic day at Foxlake Adventures! 💦🌊

The group is currently enjoying an action-packed visit, taking on both the Aqua Park and the Ringo ride, with plenty of fun, teamwork and adventure along the way.

Here’s a quick group photo before we headed off for more excitement on the water. We look forward to sharing more content from the day soon! 📸

The combined bugle bands of the 130th and the 205th Glasgow - Eaglesham Boys' Brigade Company again had the privilege of leading Glasgow Battalion’s parade of King’s Men ahead of the presentation ceremony at Glasgow City Chambers on 28 May 2026. With George Square still undergoing renovation, there was a change of route this year, taking us from Glasgow Cathedral Precinct, down Castle Street and High Street, along George Street and down Montrose Street before coming to a halt at the end of Cochrane Street.

Seventy-four King’s Men from across The Boys’ Brigade in Glasgow gathered at Glasgow City Chambers last night to receive their King’s Badge certificates.

We were delighted to see Daniel, Ethan, John and Robert receive their awards in front of family and friends — a proud moment for them, their families and everyone at the 130th.

The King’s Badge recognises the achievements of young people throughout their time in the BB, including the development of skills in leadership, communication, outdoor expeditions, service within their Company and Church, and wider community involvement.

Following the change from the Queen’s Badge to the King’s Badge in autumn 2024, these are also the first King’s Badges achieved in the Company since the 1950s.

Before the ceremony, the boys took part in a parade to George Square, followed by an inspection in front of the City Chambers. The parade was led by a bugle band featuring boys from the 130th, alongside our friends from the 205th Glasgow (Eaglesham).

Congratulations to all the boys who received awards and certificates. More content from the parade will follow soon!

Parents, family members, friends and members of the church gathered at Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church on last week for our 118th Annual Inspection and Display. We were delighted to welcome Brigade President Rev. Dez Johnston along as Inspecting Officer, with the highlights of the evening including the awarding of one President's Badge and four King's Badges. If you missed it, never fear, here's the whole thing in a little over two minutes.

Following tradition after our Annual Inspection & Display, our Anchor Boys and Junior Section held their Annual Trip this weekend, returning to Almond Valley Heritage Centre for another fantastic day out. 🚌

The boys had a brilliant time exploring the enclosures, visiting the animals 🐐🐑 and enjoying the many play areas. In between the bouncing, zip-sliding and go-karting, we also managed to fit in a train ride 🚂 and plenty of fun all round - a great way to round off a busy weekend and a memorable session.

Enjoy some photos from the day 📸 — with more content to follow from our Inspection & Display in the near future!

Bands from across Scotland gathered in Glasgow for the BB Scottish Bands Contest on 28 March, and we were delighted to be part of the competition. Boys performed exceptionally well on their first experience of the event, taking home two national novice shields plus the Glasgow Battalion bugle band trophy. Thanks go to the BB Scottish Bands Committee for organising the event, everyone who supported on the day and most of all to the young musicians who made it such a memorable occasion.

For the first time in many years the Company’s Bugle Band took part in the The Boys' Brigade in Scotland Bands Contest this morning held at Hutcheson’s Grammar School in Glasgow.

As the only Bugle Band performing alongside a number of pipe bands and marching bands, we were delighted to take home two national novice shields plus the Battalion bugle band trophy thanks to a strong performance.

The next outing for the band will be our 118th Annual Inspection and Display at Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church of Scotland on 15 May.

Our thanks go to the organisers of the contest and congratulations to all the other great bands taking part. A video from the contest will follow in the coming days.

Congratulations to our Junior Section for winning the Partick District Figure Marching Competition tonight! 🎉

After weeks of practice and hard work, the boys delivered a fantastic performance, securing first place to add the District trophy to the Glasgow Battalion, The Boys' Brigade title won a few weeks ago! 👏

The boys are pictured showing off their medals and the legendary trophy—one of the most unique in The Boys' Brigade in Glasgow. Originally gifted by a US Navy captain in 1977, it even features US dollars as part of its design! 💵✨

Well done, boys! And well done to other Companies taking part, 135th Glasgow BB Company. and 5th Glasgow Boys' Brigade for great marching too!
