📚🎒 Do you have a child finishing their school term this week?

As the school year comes to an end, we're asking families to donate good-quality uniform items they no longer need so they can help another child start the new terms with confidence.

Due to your generosity, in 2025, we provided 3,500+ school uniform items meaning lots of children across our community had what they needed to feel confident, included and ready to start the new school term.

This is the perfect time to donate it to us as we head into our busiest time of year. Right now, we urgently need:
⭐ School jumpers & cardigans
⭐ Polo shirts & shirts
⭐ Trousers, skirts & pinafores

End‑of‑term donations are especially powerful, they’re the reason a child walks into school feeling confident instead of anxious, included instead of overlooked.

We have several drop‑off points available (see attached), and we’ll be open all summer, Tuesday to Friday, 10am–12pm, to make donating as easy as possible.

🎒✨ We’re delighted to be providing Hygiene Packs to the P7 pupils at Kildrum Primary School, as they prepare for their exciting transition to high school.

As part of our outreach programme we’ve explored practical ways to support children at key milestones in their education.

These packs are designed to provide everyday essentials and help young people feel confident and prepared for the next chapter of their school journey.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped make initiatives like this possible.

Just over a week of term left! 📚🎒

As the school year comes to an end, please consider donating any school uniforms your children have outgrown or no longer need.

This is the perfect time to pass them on! Donations received as term finishes are especially helpful to us as they help us prepare for our school uniform giveaway, which we will be announcing shortly. We also need large quantities of school uniform to meet uniform referral demand over the summer months, ensuring every child in the community is ready for the new school year.

🎒 Supporting P1 Transitions 🎒

We were pleased to be able to provide PE kits for the new P1 class starting at Carbrain Primary School this August.

The cost of buying a full school uniform, PE kit, school bag, and other essentials can be a real strain on families, especially when you have more than one child to provide for. Being able to step in with this support helps ease some of that financial pressure and ensures every child starts school feeling ready and included.

📣 Volunteer Opportunity: Accountant & Independent Examiner Support

As a small, community-focused charity we rely on volunteers. We’re looking for support with our year-end accounts and are seeking help with two separate pieces of work.

🔍 We’re looking for support with:

1️⃣ Accountant (Year-End Accounts)
- Preparing our annual accounts (receipts & payments format)
- Ensuring compliance with OSCR regulations
- Advising on good practice and readiness for examination

2️⃣ Independent Examiner
- Carrying out an independent examination of the accounts
- Providing a signed Independent Examiner’s Report
- Must be independent of the charity, with relevant financial experience

You don’t need to have been a trustee before. You don’t need to be an expert in charity law. You do need to care about people and want to make a difference.
