Some young people from Moving Forward: 10-15s headed to Flip Out to mark the end of their summer group. It was the perfect way to celebrate everyone's achievements and the new friendships they made along the way. 💜

Our next cohort of the Empower Up programme (online only) starts mid-October.

The programme supports young autistic people aged 12–18 across Scotland and helps them understand their autistic identity, build confidence, develop social strategies and improve wellbeing. Empower Up is a space to connect with peers and reduce isolation.

This upcoming group is open to young autistic people Scotland wide. The group will run for 8 weeks, and spaces are limited.

In this episode, Heather and Claire are joined by Louise, an Into Work Lived Experience Trainer and Peer Facilitator, and Billy, Training and Consultancy Manager at the National Autistic Society, to discuss navigating the workplace as an autistic person.

From disclosure and reasonable adjustments to finding the right support, they share practical insights, professional expertise and lived experience.

The podcast is part of What's Next?, our programme supporting late-diagnosed and self-identifying autistic adults in Scotland to better understand themselves, build confidence and connect with peers on a similar journey.

The impact of Moving Forward with CashBack extends beyond the individual.

In 2025–26, 87% of parents, carers and professionals reported improved resilience, positive changes in behaviour and stronger support networks among the young people they supported.

Moving Forward supports autistic young people to build confidence, develop resilience and take positive steps towards their future. The impact of that support can also be felt by families, carers and the wider networks around them.

"Having someone to support them has made such a difference to their confidence and independence."

Over the past few weeks, we've shared key findings from our latest annual report, highlighting the difference Moving Forward is making for autistic young people across Scotland.

Our supporter Fiona, recently attended the National Neurodiversity Show in Glasgow!

Fiona had wanted to attend the show for years, so being able to finally make the trip was a huge achievement. 🎉

During the day, she met Emma, the Show Director, visited our National Autistic Society stand and received a certificate from us in recognition of her continued support.

Reflecting on the experience, Fiona said:

“I was glad that I had attend as I had wanted to do this for years and to have been able to have come to Glasgow and have this opportunity has been incredible, and I feel very proud to have coped and not had any sensory overload.”
