We need your help to fill our foodbank!”

Here at The Halliday Foundation, we support local individuals and families who may be struggling to put food on the table — and we need the support of our whole community.

We’re asking individuals and local businesses to get involved in our food drive.
If you’re a business, why not organise a food collection at work? Put a donation box in your office, workplace or staff room and encourage your team to bring in an item or two.
You could even run a company food drive, challenge different departments to fill a box, or make supporting our foodbank part of your workplace giving.

We’re looking for items like:
🥫 Tinned food
🍝 Pasta and rice
🥣 Cereal
🥛 Long-life milk
🍲 Sauces and cupboard essentials
☕ Tea, coffee and everyday basics

Whether you donate one item, one box, or organise a whole workplace collection, every donation makes a difference.
So if you’re an individual, a team, or a local business, please get involved.
Donate, organise a food drive at work, share this video, and help us support more people in our community. ❤️

Thanks to Si Ferry & Grosso for their support to The Halliday Foundation🥳

⭐️⭐️Join the Board of The Halliday Foundation⭐️⭐️

We’re looking to recruit 3–4 new Trustees to join the Board of The Halliday Foundation and help shape the next stage of our development.

This is an opportunity to use your experience, knowledge and perspective to make a real difference. As a Trustee, you’ll help guide our strategy, strengthen our governance and support the Foundation as we continue to grow and develop our work.

We’d particularly like to hear from people who can bring experience in areas such as:

• Finance and accounting
• Fundraisi ng and income generation
• Property, housing or facilities
• HR and people management
• Marketing and communications
• Governance, legal or strategic leadership
• Community engagement and lived experience relevant to our work

Previous Trustee experience is not essential. We’re interested in people who share our values, can contribute constructively at Board level and want to help make a positive difference.

Trustee roles are voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

If you’re interested in finding out more, or know someone who could be a great addition to our Board, we’d love to hear from you.

🌟 Glasgow East Community Network – Growing Stronger Together 🌟

What a fantastic turnout today for the quarterly Glasgow East Community Network, delivered in partnership with GCVS at Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre.

We welcomed 85 people representing more than 50 third-sector organisations — a brilliant demonstration of the strength, commitment and ambition that exists across Glasgow’s East End.

The demand for this network is clear. With fewer opportunities for third-sector organisations to come together in the East End, there is a real need for a strong, sustainable network that helps organisations connect, collaborate and build better relationships and partnerships across Glasgow.

Today wasn’t just about networking. We also held workshops to hear directly from organisations about what they want and need from the network going forward. Those conversations will help shape its future, ensuring it is driven by the organisations and communities it is here to support.

A huge thank you to our planning committee and GCVS for the work, commitment and partnership that went into making today possible — and, of course, thank you to everyone who attended, contributed to the workshops and shared their ideas.

This network is growing stronger, and today demonstrated the appetite to keep building on that momentum.

85 people. 50+ organisations. One growing network.

Together, we can build stronger connections, stronger partnerships and a stronger third sector across Glasgow East. 💙
