Last week, we celebrated the end of another fantastic year working with young people from Glasgow Kelvin College. Once again, itโs been a privilege to work with such an enthusiastic group and their tutor. Weโre also grateful to the team Provan Hall for allowing us to use their space as a base for our learning.
Meeting once a month, the young people have taken part in a variety of activities designed to build their skills and knowledge around nature and the environment whilst also supporting health and wellbeing.
Some of the things weโve enjoyed include tree ID, conducting a pond survey, creating a wildflower meadow, learning to ID birds through sight and sound, nature journaling and a mini BioBlitz.
Weโve thoroughly enjoyed engaging in (sometimes challenging!) conversations, answering interesting questions and watching these young people develop their self-confidence and enjoyment of the natural world. Thank you!
