We are proud to announce that we are partnering with Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve to run an Outdoor Clothing Swap on Saturday 28th of November, 11am-2pm. The event will be taking place in The Courtyard Pantry - please find the full address on the poster below.

Clothing is a huge barrier when accessing nature, so we wanted to help in a free, sustainable way! The idea is that you come along to the clothing swap and will find outdoor clothing/footwear for all sizes and ages!

If you are due a clear out or have some unused outdoor clothing, send it our way - please see the poster below for further guidance on what items we are looking for.

We will be holding a clothing drive at Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve on Saturday the 21st of November, 11am-1pm where you can drop your donations off to us. Alternatively, contact [email protected] if you want to donate and we can arrange a pick up if you are local to Glasgow.

On the day of the clothing swap, you don't need to bring items to swap, we just want to provide an opportunity for everyone to get some outdoor kit without it costing a fortune! Please pass this along to anyone that would be interested and we are excited to run our first clothing swap!

Join us for an evening with Lucy Lapwing to celebrate the launch of her book: Love is a Toad

Most of us love nature; it’s a great source of fascination, comfort and awe. But we’re also living in a time of great loss, witnessing decline of biodiversity all around us. Join Lucy Lapwing as she explores how we can carry these two feelings at the same time, themes explored in her first book, Love is a Toad. Lucy will weave in encounters with wildlife in the UK, bringing a bucketful of nature nerdiness to her talk.

Hello October! In the UK bat world, more mating is taking place, and building up fat reserves is becoming crucial to survive the winter season. Bats are seeking suitable hibernation sites, and beginning periods of torpor.

Last night we had a fab time leading a bat walk in Glasgow Green with some young people from LGBT Youth Scotland 🦇

After a slow start, we found Common and Soprano pipistrelles which was very exciting! In this video, there was a lovely Common Pipistrelle putting on a show as it hunted for insects.

The young people had a lovely time, saying that the session was 'fun', 'whimsical', 'awesome' and one young person said "I SAW MY FIRST BAT EVER!"

We love exploring nature in urban environments and connecting with young people about nature is a core element of our work. We can't wait to work more with the group and see what other elements of nature we can explore.
