Come along to a free sharing at Kelvinbridge Subway, Glasgow 26 July, 12:30pm.

Delululand invites audiences to attend a work-in-progress sharing of Toxic Darling. The sharing will take place in Kelvingrove Park, meeting at the bottom of Kelvinbridge Subway station, Glasgow. Please remember to dress in waterproof clothes and pack an umbrella (just in case!).

Toxic Darling is an interactive performance, audiences are essential for the development of the piece and we’re eager for feedback and for the opportunity to test the work live.

"...And where magic flowers once bloomed grew a pile of crap,
It grew and it stretched collecting all of the city folks scrap.
The noxious trash took on a life of its own.
At first people shrieked, it scared them to the bone.
But the mass was so gentle, and magic inside did remain.
They say a wish may still be granted, but not one for personal gain…
We call her Toxic Darling, care to make a wish inside her cocoon?
Think beyond the self and far away to the moon…”

Toxic Darling is an interactive performance/installation exploring the tensions between organic wilderness and contemporary gluttony, using wishful thinking and imagined transformation as its driving force. During the performance, two mystical creatures, the Magical Mushroom and the Three-Headed Fox, emerge, enchanting both the audience and the space through theatrical ritual.
