It's time to !

By sober shaming others, we’re upholding society’s view that drinking alcohol is normal and not drinking is not.

On a societal level, sober shaming puts up a barrier for people considering making a change to their drinking. If you know you’re going to be challenged about your non-drinking, that you’re going to have to explain it time and again, that friends and family may judge you or be upset with you, it’s much easier, and probably more tempting, to just keep drinking.

It’s in everybody’s interest to break down this view so we can all make our own choices about alcohol, free from any judgement. Let's make not drinking normal, as it should be!

Making School Work: Building Positive Partnerships Around Your Child

Do you want to feel more confident when working with your child's school?

Join us for a special FASD Month Wednesday Webinar for parents, kinship carers, foster carers, adoptive parents and extended family members. Together we'll explore practical ways to build positive relationships with schools, share what matters most about your child, and create stronger partnerships that support wellbeing, inclusion and success.

This supportive session focuses on seeing the whole child, having productive conversations, and finding collaborative ways to help children thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Because every child is more than a diagnosis, every family has valuable knowledge to share, and belonging matters just as much as attainment.

Submit your questions to our Education Advisors and book your place today: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fasd-month-webinar-making-school-work-tickets-1997692919298?aff=ebdsoporgprofile&_gl=1*1n8wqie*_up*MQ..*_ga*NTY0OTM2NTQ2LjE3ODY1MzczMjU.*_ga_TQVES5V6SH*czE3ODY1MzczMjQkbzEkZzAkdDE3ODY1MzczMjQkajYwJGwwJGgw

Natalie didn't start out planning to go alcohol free - but as the benefits kept piling up she decided she was better off without it.

Some people may find that boring, but she is rarely bored.

Have you ever thought about what you might be saying no to, in order to keep saying yes to the pub or to drinking?

Cutting down our alcohol use can open up new worlds and help us rediscover old passions or explore new ones.

Whilst it's great to see the return of a popular football tournament, it's extremely disappointing to see football continue to acquiesce to alcohol industry efforts to cement a relationship between alcohol and their sport - exposing children to harmful alcohol marketing in the process.

If football authorities won't act, it's time that the Scottish Government did - and banned alcohol sponsorship of sport.

The Tennent's Sixes, a popular indoor football tournament, is set to return after more than 30 years.

Whether it's cutting down a little or cutting out alcohol altogether, for lots of people it's not about hitting a 'rock bottom'.

It's just honestly evaluating the little things that alcohol might be costing them and deciding that you'd prefer life without those costs - and maybe experimenting with how you can get the 'benefits' of alcohol in other ways.
