The Well Multi-Cultural Resource Centre Information & Advice for the diverse communities of Glasgow's Southside

The Well supports ethnic minority communities in the greater Govanhill area of Glasgow through our Advice Centre and friendship building activities. Initially set up by the Church of Scotland in 1994 as an information and advice centre for the local Asian communities, The Well became an independent charity in 2011. Working with issues linked to poverty, social isolation, limited English language skills/cultural differences, we aim to serve anyone who comes for help with Christian love and compassion.

"Because of Bubbles, I knew my child deserved better..."

We recently received some feedback from a former Bubbles participant that reminded us why our women's community stay-and-play group is so important.

After attending Bubbles regularly, this parent realised that their child wasn't receiving the same level of engagement and support at nursery. Seeing what a positive, attentive early years environment looked like gave them the confidence and agency to look around and find a more suitable nursery placement for their little one.

Groups like Bubbles do so much more than give toddlers a place to play. They:
🧠 Build parental confidence: Helping parents recognise their child's unique needs and feel empowered to act on them.
🤝 Create community benchmarks: Giving families a safe space to see healthy, engaging early learning in action.
☕ Offer community connection: Supporting parents and carers so they never feel isolated in making decisions for their family.
