ROAD ACCIDENT SOLICITOR – WEDNESDAY 16th SEPTEMBER



Would you know what to do in case of a road traffic accident? From a legal point of view, it can be quite complicated and stressful. Not just the immediate aftermath, but also for months or even years after the accident. Our next meeting, this coming Wednesday 16th September, will feature a presentation from one of our members, a solicitor from Gildeas Solicitors, a recognised Scottish law firm specialising in personal injury claims resulting from road accidents. Come along to learn more about the legal intricacies that follow a collision on the roads.



As usual, we will meet upstairs in Thorntree Hall, Thornliebank at 7.30 p.m., and refreshments will be provided during the evening.

If you have been injured in a road traffic accident, as a driver, passenger or were hit by a vehicle – you could be entitled to compensation.

Skills Days tickets remaining!
We still have tickets remaining for our 2026 Skills Days at Knockhill.

Our Knockhill event on 4 June is a dedicated Motorcycle Skills Day, giving riders the opportunity to use their own bike on circuit while working with qualified instructors to build Advanced riding skills, confidence and control.

Mike Redfern-Jones from Denbigh, Wales, has spent more than 40 years volunteering for IAM RoadSmart and was named on the King’s 2026 New Year Honours list for his outstanding contributions to road safety.

This Wednesday we will have a look at the new road safety strategy. Come along to Thorntree halls, 37 Main St, Thornliebank, Glasgow G46 7SF @ 7:30pm for more detail on how it will affect drivers over 70, and more. Tea, coffee and biscuits for everyone.

We've launched a new Road Safety Strategy, aiming to cut deaths and serious injuries on Britain’s roads by 65% by 2035.

Key points include:
- tougher action on drink driving
- minimum learning periods for learner drivers
- mandatory eye tests for older drivers

We're committed to doing what it takes to save thousands of lives and ease pressure on the NHS.
