We're really excited to be working with Kelvin College again this year to provide our growers and volunteers with First Aid and Food Hygiene training!

We still have a few spaces left on each course see below for further
details:

- Emergency First Aid @ Work (REHIS accredited) on the 23rd of April at 9.15am - 4.15pm

- Food Hygiene (REHIS accredited) on the 19th of May at 9.15am - 4.15pm

The training is free and lunch will be provided.

Training will take place in the big hall at the St Matthew's Centre - 200 Balmore Road, G22 6LJ (this is an accessible ground floor space with access to disabled toilets).

The Social Gardening Sessions at The Concrete Garden have been running for over a month now!
Each week growers have been preparing their raised bed for Spring and planning what they are going to grow for the year.
So far we have sown some salad crops in the polytunnel which we look forward to harvesting! 🌱🥗

Social Gardening Sessions :

- Friday 10.30am - 1pm.

Our Burns Night community meal was a wonderful way to kick off 2026. We shared lots of laughs and enjoyed some really tasty food.
A huge thanks to everyone that came along!

With Spring approaching we are very excited to welcome back The Social Gardening Sessions at The Concrete Garden starting back this Thursday 12th of February. 🌱

EXCITING NEWS! On Tuesday 16th of December there will be a Christmas Grotto and market stalls at St Matthew's Centre where The Concrete Garden will be serving soup and mince pies.

For our last Thursday Social Gardening session at The Concrete Garden we made spring onion pancakes over the fire which we had with a garlic and soy dip. 👌

Definitely a great way to wrap up the gardening sessions for the year!

Last week we tried making crumpets on the fire. Some may say it did not work out, but there were no crumpets left at the end so we'll let that speak for itself! 🥞🔥

P.S. If the crumpet mixture sticks to the rings you can make perfectly good crumpet pancakes instead. 😅
