Africa Future organised another successful and busy workshop on 22 August 2026, delivered by ChangeworksWork. The workshop gave ethnic minority communities an opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice on how to reduce their electricity and gas bills.

The workshop was also a great opportunity for Africa Future members to meet new people, make new friends, share experiences, and interact with one another. It was an informative and enjoyable event that brought members of the community together while providing useful support with household energy costs.Africa Future Thank you

Week 6 – A Wonderful Celebration of Our Summer Programme! 🌟

Week 6 was a very exciting and special week as we celebrated the journey of our children throughout the six-week summer programme with Africa Future.

We gave all the children an opportunity to speak, share their experiences, and reflect on what they had learned and enjoyed during the programme. It was wonderful to hear their thoughts, stories, and memories, and to see how much they had gained from the experience.

A Fantastic and Informative Event! 🎉

Last Saturday’s event was truly fantastic and full of valuable information. We were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Boatemaa, who gave a detailed and insightful presentation on breast cancer detection, its signs and manifestations, and where to seek appropriate support and care.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing from participants about the enjoyable experience and the new knowledge they gained. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, with many participants taking the time to attend, listen, learn, and share their experiences.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who made the time to attend and participate. Your presence, engagement, and willingness to learn made the event a great success.

Thank you all, and we look forward to seeing you at our next event! 💗

Week 5 Reflection

This week was very informative and increased my knowledge about children with disabilities. One of the most inspiring case studies was about a child with a physical disability who was able to draw an elephant despite the challenges they faced. This demonstrated that physical disabilities do not prevent children from expressing their creativity and talents.

Another case study focused on a child with autism. It helped me understand the unique ways autistic children learn, communicate, and interact with others. The discussion emphasized the importance of patience, understanding, and providing the right support to help every child reach their full potential.

Overall, Week 5 was very instructive and educational. It broadened my understanding of inclusive education and reinforced the importance of recognizing and supporting the abilities of all children, regardless of their disabilities.

Week 3 Children's Activities

During Week 3, children will have opportunities to develop their understanding of integration and community by sharing their aspirations and discussing what they would like to become in the future while living in Scotland.

The children will also learn more about the history, culture, and traditions of Scotland through fun and interactive activities. To conclude the week, they will take part in a day-out programme, giving them the opportunity to explore local places of interest, build friendships, and enjoy learning outside the classroom.

Second Week Children's Activity with Africa Future (Very Busy week )

Our second week of children's activities gives children even more opportunities to explore their creativity. They can enjoy painting, meet new friends, and express themselves through fun, hands-on art projects. These creative experiences encourage progressive development by building imagination, confidence, social skills, and artistic abilities in a welcoming and supportive environment.
