Could you help single parents build confidence, overcome barriers and take positive steps towards their future?

We’re looking for an Employability Advisor to join One Parent Families Scotland and support single parents across East Renfrewshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills and experience to help parents progress towards employment, education and training, while being part of an organisation working to challenge poverty and create lasting change for single parent families.

- 28 hours per week – other part-time hours may be considered
- £26,640 – £32,560 (pro rata for 28 hours)
- Employer pension contribution
- Flexible working

Child maintenance isn't just a financial issue. For some families, it can also be used as a form of economic abuse, allowing coercion and control to continue after separation.

That's why it was so important that Scottish Women's Aid helped shape Child Maintenance Explained alongside parents with lived experience. Their expertise has been invaluable in developing a resource that recognises the different experiences families may face.

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Starting a new job is an important milestone, but the impact of the right support can go much further.

This parent is one of 12 who recently started a new role as a Client Advisor with Social Security Scotland after taking part in the OPFS Training Academy.
