Glasgow Street Pastors

Glasgow Street Pastors is a volunteer-based initiative with a mandate to be a visible Christian influence in the city of Glasgow.

Teams of Street Pastors walk the streets of Glasgow every weekend demonstrating compassionate care in the heart of the city. We operate a Safe Zone at St George’s Tron church every Saturday night, on Friday’s during the festive period and at other busy times in the city centre. The aim of all our activity is to help, to care and to listen. We work in partnership with local churches, Glasgow City Council, and Police Scotland, forming what is known as the Urban Trinity. Two successful GSP presentations & videos delivered this week. Chapelhall Woman's Group by Anne & Wilma.19 ladies in total. Many thanks to them for their generous financial donation as well as a donation of hats, socks & chocolate bars which was well received.
Alison and Wilma P also delivered a GSP talk to Bearsden Baptist Church Lunchbreak group this week. Thank you for your lovely invitations to us. 🥰

We had a busy night on Saturday welcoming back our students and some for the first time to our City. Many were happy to receive our free flip-flops as their feet were very very sore! 🩴🩴We wish you well in your studies and settling in. Our teams are out on Friday and Saturday nights from 10.30pm to 3.30am if you need any help or just a friendly chat. 🥰

Last night we had a time of celebration and reflection of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026 at our interagency service held in Govan's Salvation Army. Commissioner Ivor Telfer led us in our service. We had songs, prayers and the sharing of our stories. Helen Wright of SGT church led our legacy section. Thanks to all who attended and who took part and especially to the Salvation Army’s local divisional Youth Band. Wonderful!😊

Great speakers, stands from ourselves, Galilee Books , The Scottish Bible Society, Christian Values in Education: Scotland and Wise Owl Ministries. Thanks to Karen and Jess for invitation today and for all who stopped by to chat to us. 😊
