✨ AND IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN... 2026 LAUNCH ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

For our members and clients who visit The Wellbeing Centre you might not be aware that we have launched our 13th annual children’s gift campaign yesterday. The Christmas Portal is now officially OPEN if you'd like to join the thousands of kind folk who donate a gift made with love for a child through our Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas appeal.
🎄
We aim to include and fulfil the dreams of local children affected by hardship or living in poverty, hoping for a visit from Santa who believe in the magic of Christmas ✨🎅✨
🎄
This year we have already received over 18,000 children’s referrals within Glasgow and surrounding regions. We know the impact your kindness and compassion can make to the lives of those that are struggling. We've seen how it lifts their spirits…and how it lifts ours too! 💕
🎄
We can all make a difference in helping our communities and no matter how big or small your donation, your gifts will contribute to making a significant difference to a child’s life this coming Christmas!
🎄
For the past 12 consecutive years this kind-hearted community has come together to protect the magic and spirit of Christmas for 158,000 local children with over 1 million gifts made with love to the value of £5.8 million. An incredible achievement for a mainly volunteer-led appeal that started in a car park in 2014!
🎄
We are forever grateful for your continued support, kindness and caring over the years in helping us to make a difference for so many children.
🎄
Times continue to be tough in some way for us all, which is why Christmas offers us all a way to support those around us in any way we can. Most of us can’t imagine a world with no Christmas Spirit or no visit from Santa to brighten darker days throughout the year.
🎄
We need your help to spread the word and inspire work colleagues, family and friends to take part in saving Christmas too.
🎄
Please share the Christmas Portal to Pledge a Gift at https://www.glasgowsspiritofchristmas.org.uk/ and send them an invite to join this private community group
(which Facebook won’t allow us to change to a public setting)
using the link;
https://www.facebook.com/groups/613947025394004/
or share our public page here; https://www.facebook.com/glasgowspiritofchristmas
🎄
Just one share from every member could make such a difference as we rely on word of mouth to increase awareness of our campaign and ensure we can fulfil as many children’s hopes of receiving a visit from Santa as possible.
🎄
DIGITAL MEDIA ASSETS
🎄
The CHRISTMAS PORTAL has a RESOURCES page with links to download guides and posters for sharing including, How to Create an Office Secret Santa guide, How to Create a Gift Made with Love guide, our 2026 GSOC poster and Be a Secret Santa poster with everything you need to fundraise and help us for local children at https://www.glasgowsspiritofchristmas.org.uk/resources
🎄
Giving just one ‘GIFT MADE WITH LOVE’ for a child to open on Christmas Day represents a feeling of belonging, worthiness, hope and inclusion to a child with very little throughout the year.

To light up the life of a child who is less fortunate this year, become their Secret Santa by donating a gift made with love via the Christmas Portal at https://www.glasgowsspiritofchristmas.org.uk/
🎄
After making a Gift Pledge you will receive an email confirmation confirming the address, opening days, times and delivery window to drop your gift donation off. You will also be given a PLEDGE ID number which should be written on the gift tag of the gift bag, along with the gender and age of your chosen child. This will help us track each gift to ensure it goes to your chosen charity and child.
🎄
Thanks to the University of Strathclyde for supporting us again. We are delighted to have ten new 3rd year business students join us as volunteers, as part of their MDP3 Social Responsibility Pathway to help with the management of gifts for each partner organisation and answer any queries you may have about your gift pledges.

We are also very grateful to UoS student, Emma Church who worked with our team last year and helped create the media assets for this year’s gift campaign. Fantastic voluntary work from Emma who has a bright career ahead of her 🙏
🎄
Please use our FAQ’s on the Christmas Portal first for any queries and if you still require help allow 48 hours for student volunteers/Gift Managers to answer your queries. Please be kind, patient and understanding with our team as this year’s requests are significant. Alternatively you can ask our amazing Admin Team right here in our community too with any queries you may have.
🎄
CHECK OUT OUR GSOC WEBSITE TO SEE THE LIST OF OUR OFFICIAL PARTICIPATING CHARITY PARTNERS 🎄
Please donate ONLY through the CHRISTMAS PORTAL website and DO NOT email your chosen charity directly to donate your gifts as this will result in duplicate gifts being allocated for the same charity and children. We aim to avoid the duplication of gifts at all costs to ensure more children suffering hardship or poverty across the city and surrounding regions will receive a Gift Made with Love.
🎄
We are a unique Christmas campaign in that we only request the number of gifts actually required to support the number of children’s referrals we receive from our official charity partners.
🎄
We are incredibly grateful for each member’s support and to all our volunteers, supporters and sponsors who have helped this annual campaign to grow over 12 incredibly hard working, heart-warming, emotional, rewarding and uplifting years.
🎄
We'd like to say a sincere thank you to each and in this community that are in a position to help light up a child’s life with one or more gifts this Christmas. Thank you so much for protecting the magic and spirit of Christmas for so many children.
🎄
We hope you dearly love being a part of Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas this year and making this community group .
