Congratulations to former GSO President Ronan McQuade on his recent graduation from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. We send him our best wishes as he continues his studies at the University of Oklahoma.

We are delighted to introduce Jonathan Smith as our new President. Jonathan has been a dedicated trustee for a number of years, and we look forward to a fantastic year ahead under his leadership.

Information regarding our new syllabus will be announced shortly - stay tuned!

Congratulations to Honorary Vice-President Archie Shearer for 34 years as Organist at Wellpark Mid Kirk!
We wish you all the best for your retirement

After 34 years our organist, Archie Shearer, is retiring on Sunday.
Our service at 11:30am on 26 July will celebrate Archie’s years with and will include a presentation, followed by lunch in the lower hall after the service.
Members past and present, friends and former choir members will be made most welcome.
If you can’t make it along why not leave a message for Archie below or DM us and we will pass them on.

Next up in our Summer Organ Series, we're delighted to welcome back Director of Music at Birmingham Cathedral, David Hardie 🎶
David has been an organ scholar since the age of 14 and last year, released a CD with the Birmingham Cathedral Choir which went onto receive a five-star review in Choir and Organ.
As always, the Greyfriars Summer Organ Series is free to attend and all are welcome. See you there 💜

Alessandro Bianchi will play hour-long organ recitals in St Joseph's, Kilmarnock (7 July at 12 noon), St John the Evangelist's, Cumnock (8 July at 12 noon) and St Peter-in-Chains, Ardrossan (8 July at 7 pm). A world class organist from Lugano, Switzerland. All are welcome.

Two further recitals will take place at St Columba's Church, Ayr, on Sunday 5 July at 7 pm, and at Ayr Town Hall on Monday 6 July at 12 noon. All are welcome.

The Summer Organ Series continues with our Director of Music tomorrow! Caroline has been in her role here at Greyfriars for almost three years and she also teaches Composition and History of Music at St Mary's Music School in Edinburgh. Earlier this year, Caroline became President of the Scottish Federation of Organists.
This is not a recital to be missed!
