*Day of the African Child – 16 June*

Today, we stand with all children, especially street-connected children and victims of trafficking, whose rights, safety, and dignity are too often denied. Every child deserves protection, education, love, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As we commemorate the Day of the African Child, let us strengthen our commitment to preventing child trafficking, protecting vulnerable children, and creating communities where no child is forced to live or work on the streets.

Every child matters. Every child deserves a safe and hopeful future.

These are just some of the penny boxes that have been returned from the children Dromore Elim Pentecostal Church

The Kingdom Kids at Dromore Elim are into their third year of participating in the 'Young Collectors' initiative as part of Junior Mission.

When you hear stories of a child wanting to put the money they got from the tooth fairy straight into their Dwelling Places box and stories of children hosting their own big fundraisers for Dwelling Places.... It really does warm your heart knowing that at such a young age the children themselves are developing a 'heart for mission'.

We appreciate and thank every child for every penny contributed β€πŸ™ŒπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬

That's a wrap! Rita's UK Tour has come to an end and what a successful and blessed tour it has been.

Rita is deeply grateful to everyone involved. This includes all the meeting organisers, the hosts that Rita stayed with, every person who came along to the events, and to all those who have become supporters in various ways.

Your generosity has once again blown us away. We would to thank everyone who has donated to the work of Dwelling Places throughout the tour. We would also like to thank those who have been moved to become regular givers and child sponsors. The difference this makes to the children in our care is incredible.

In the words of Rita herself....

"Until every Child has a chest to rest their head on and a place to call home" ❀

Thank you to everyone who attended the meetings and events across various Churches in the area. Rita was delighted by the support and interest shown. We would also like to thank all those who very kindly donated money and also thank those who have expressed an interest in becoming child sponsors or regular donors. We've had an incredible response so far during the tour and for that we Praise The Lord πŸ™

Rita is now in Inverness where yesterday she was warmly welcomed by Nairn Free Church and Smithton Church.

Hi, a while back we asked for prayer for one of our sponsor children, John. He underwent eye surgery. It is time for a follow-up, and the doctor reports that steady progress is being made. Praise the Lord! Please keep praying for a complete recovery. Thanks.

That's a wrap for the Northern Ireland leg of Rita's UK Tour.

We were very blessed to have heard Rita speak and sing at various meetings and events throughout the week. From the older generation right down to the younger generation, Rita has inspired us all with her story of how Dwelling Places started and how the journey of hope continues to make an impact on the lives of so many vulnerable children in Uganda.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the meetings and especially to all those who have started sponsoring a child, those who have taken a penny box to fill, those who have started following us on social media, and those who have expressed an interest in future teams/volunteering opportunities. It all means so much to us and we are very grateful.

Wishing Rita Nkemba all the best for her Glasgow meetings this week followed by Inverness next week πŸ’•
