The wait is officially over! The Glasgow Scout Shop is reopening its doors to customers on Tuesday 22nd September at 11:00 am, and we cannot wait to welcome you back inside!

Whether you need to stock up on badges, grab a fresh uniform for the new term, or get geared up for your next big camp, we are fully stocked and ready for you.

At Clyde Scouts, we believe that safe Scouting is fun Scouting. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and supportive volunteer to join us as our Regional Lead Safety Advisor to help us champion a positive, practical safety culture across our region.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, understands the importance of proportionate risk management, and wants to shape a safer future for young people and volunteers.

This is also an exciting opportunity to build and lead a small team of Regional Safety Advisors, expanding the support we offer to leaders, trustees, event organisers and activity teams across Clyde.

If you’re passionate about supporting volunteers, enjoy helping others feel confident with safety, and want to help shape a positive safety culture across Clyde Region, we’d love to hear from you.

We provide opportunities for young people across the Clyde area to enjoy fun, adventure, and personal development through Scouting.

Each week, we support thousands of young people through a dedicated network of volunteers, delivering programmes that build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Volunteering as a Trustee with Clyde Scouts is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful strategic impact on the lives of young people across our region.

As part of the celebrations marking 100 years of Auchengillan Outdoor Centre, adults with connections to the centre, past and present, came together for a special Adult Reunion Weekend.

“It was a fantastic weekend, with the chance to spend time with old friends, meet new people and immerse yourself in the full Auchengillan experience.”

As Auchengillan celebrates its 100th year, the weekend was also an opportunity to look back at the memories people have made at the centre over the years, while looking ahead to its future.

“The weekend wasn’t only about reminiscing about the memories I’ve made at Auchengillan over the years and sharing these with others, but also a chance to see where the centre is going for future generations.”

For those who are more used to visiting Auchengillan as a volunteer, it was also an opportunity to experience the centre from the other side.

“I’ve always been to Auchengillan as a volunteer, so the Adult Reunion Weekend was a great opportunity to take part in some of the activities as a participant and enjoy the centre in a more relaxed environment.”

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen and of course, thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the weekend such a great part of Auchengillan’s 100th year celebrations. 😁

We are excited to announce new electric vehicle (EV) charging points have been installed at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre.

We're delighted to announce the installation of new electric vehicle (EV) charging points at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre, making it even easier for visitors to travel to site sustainably.

This exciting development has been made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Energy Saving Trust, whose support has enabled us to invest in infrastructure that benefits both our guests and the environment.

As Scouts, we are committed to helping create a more sustainable future. We're particularly proud that this project will deliver benefits beyond sustainability. Fifty percent of all revenue generated from the chargers will be reinvested directly into supporting Scouting across Clyde Region. This means that every charge will help us continue providing life-changing adventures, skills, and opportunities for young people.

Whether you're visiting for a camp, event, training course, or day visit, you can now recharge your vehicle while enjoying everything Auchengillan has to offer.
