We merged with Kelvingrove Square. The Parkgrove Terrace Lane Residents’ Association was officially formed in January 2008 by a group of local residents who had organised clean up weekends for Parkgrove Terrace Lane for several years in conjunction with Clean Glasgow. We merged with Friends of Kelvingrove Square in 2014. We campaign for improvements in the local area and generally try to make our area an even nicer place to live.

Huge thanks to the amazing volunteers who spread two huge builders bags of fresh compost over the flower beds at the weekend. The beds look incredible. 💪

Follow up event with Glasgow Life.

Invitation for Local Residents and Businesses
Kelvingrove Park Events, Drop in session
We would like to invite local residents, businesses and community groups to a drop-in session to find out more about the programme of events taking place in Kelvingrove Park and at
Kelvingrove Bandstand.

This is an opportunity to find out more about forthcoming events, meet the teams involved,
and ask any questions you may have. We are keen to hear local views and provide a space for
open conversation as plans develop.

The event delivery teams for WOMAD, Glasgow Mela, WPBC Practice, Bandstand Concerts
and Cyclocross will be there on the evening, along with colleagues from NRS Parks
Management, to update on plans and listen to feedback from those who live and work
nearby.

For those who attended our previous drop-in session in February, we will provide an update
on the points raised and where these have been considered as part of the ongoing planning.
Drop in Session details:
Kelvingrove Tennis Pavilion
Tuesday 28 April
7pm–9pm
There is no formal presentation planned so please feel free to drop in at any point during the
session.

Glasgow Life and our Partners are committed to working with the community to ensure
events are delivered thoughtfully and responsibly. Your views are important to Glasgow Life we hope you’re able to join us.
If you’re unable to attend but would like to share any thoughts or questions, please feel free
to get in touch at [email protected].

Kind regards,
Glasgow Life Events Team

A message from Anthony - a neighbour for many years.

Aoife 24th May 2012 - 18th February 2026

I know many of you will have fond memories of Aoife from her time in Kelvingrove. Everyone seemed to know her. From jumping in the fountain in the park, chasing squirrels, having her tail hair pulled by the crows and scrounging pepperoni from Dough Man’s Land pizza.

Being up three flights of stairs in Bentinck Street prompted a move to a house in Maybole with a garden and close to the countryside and the beach.

Although older, after the move she had a wonderful swan song in her new setting - she was extremely happy and seemed to know and love to interact with everyone in the town. As in Kelvingrove, everywhere she went she made people happy and brought smiles to sad faces.

Sadly she passed a few days ago. She spent the morning happily playing and running around at the beach and when she returned home she took a wee turn and crossed the “rainbow bridge” an hour or so later - very peacefully in her new home surrounded by family and friends.

As in Kelvingrove, she had had a big impact on Maybole in just nine short months. Over two hundred people here sent messages of condolence honouring her memory on the Maybole community page.

Hello. One of the neighbours had their car stolen on Thursday night last week. Does anyone have a camera facing on to Parkgrove Terrace so they can check the footage to work out when it was taken?
The camera we know about hasn’t been saving footage unfortunately (fixed now).
