Glasgow University African Caribbean Society

Glasgow University African Caribbean Society Through out each academic year, we explore and discover the vast and varied cultural features of African and Caribbean peoples.

We engage in exciting, compelling and challenging activities to provide stimulation for all kinds of pleasurable and intellectual pursuits. We aim to discern and show our appreciation for African and Caribbean Literature, Film, Drama, Theatre, Ancient and Contemporary Art, Music, Dance, History, Sports and many more. Throughout the year we hold festivals, film and theatre nights, sporting events,

workshops and additional lectures on contemporary subjects and concerns. As well as this we are a community of campaigners hoping to raise awareness of socioeconomic and health issues across Africa and the Caribbean, we hold fundraising events for local and worldwide charities.
