*There is nothing like sending your first container to a country in need. You want to go above and beyond. It might be the only chance we get to make a real difference! Inshallah not.*

*The Central African Republic (CAR)* has one of the highest and most severe rates of extreme poverty in the world, affecting roughly 70% of its population.

Some key Stats for you.

* Extreme Poverty: Nearly 70% of citizens live on less than $2.15 a day.
* Food Insecurity: Over 54% of the population cannot afford enough food even if they spend all their money on it.
* Displacement: Roughly one in five Central Africans are displaced internally or live as refugees.

Along with our amazing equipment donors and volunteers and in partnership with SWAN and UDES UK - we loaded a 40ft HC container filled with 627 life transforming, mobility and medical aids.

Looking for volunteers in *Glasgow* on *Friday 14th August 2026* to volunteer with *_Wheels to Heal_* (a volunteer led initiative) for a good cause.

We will have a *40ft container* set for *Malawi* to be filled with *Mobility and Medical aid* items such as *Zimmer frames, wheelchairs, medical beds, PPE equipment, and much more.*

*This weekend we are delivering a vital container of mobility and medical aids from Glasgow, Scotland to the Central African Republic (CAR) - a nation facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world.*

*Understanding the Crisis*
* Extreme Poverty: Nearly 70% of the population survives on less than $2.15 a day.
* Severe Hunger: Over 54% of citizens cannot afford basic food, even when spending their entire income on it.
* Mass Displacement: One in five Central Africans has been forced to flee their home as a refugee or internal evacuee.

*The Vulnerability of Disability*
During armed conflict and sudden attacks, individuals with physical or sensory impairments are left dangerously exposed:
* Inability to Escape: Without assistive devices like wheelchairs or crutches, many physically cannot flee violence.
* Tragic Abandonment: Fleeing families are frequently forced into agonizing choices, leaving disabled relatives behind.
* Inaccessible Camps: Refugee camps rarely have accessible toilets, safe pathways, or specialised medical distribution.
* Lack of Protection: Local disability laws offer virtually no practical protection during active conflict.
