💼 Wheels to Heal Volunteer Role: Logistics Caller
Time Needed: 1 hour every second day (about 4 hours a week for 2 weeks).
Where: From home (using a shared Google Sheet).
Equipment: A dedicated SIM card can be provided for your phone.

📋 What You Will Do
* Check the List: Open the shared Google Sheet to find unconfirmed donation pickups.
* Make the Calls: Call or text the people who did not reply to our emails.
* Update the Sheet: Mark them as "Confirmed" once they answer so we can book the collection date.

📞 Your Target (Over 2 Weeks)
About 70% of people confirm by email. You only need to call the remaining 30% (about 50–60 calls total over two weeks):
* London & Scotland: ~approx 25 calls each
* North of England: ~approx 12 calls
* Midlands: ~approx 10 calls
* South West & Wales: ~approx 6 calls

🛠️ What You Need
* A mobile phone (we can provide a dedicated SIM card for calls/texts).
* Basic skills to open and edit a Google Sheet.
* A friendly phone manner.

We require someone committed and long term.

Award-winning Wheels to Heal has already recycled 48,000+ mobility and healthcare aids and reached 22 countries — giving unwanted equipment a second life and helping people regain independence and dignity.

*We’re looking for volunteers to help with a simple but vital administrative role.*

📋 *What’s involved?*
Four times a year — January, April, July and October — spend around an hour or two infrequently over two weeks helping us reconfirm existing uplift requests by email, text or telephone.

No logistics experience needed. No heavy lifting. Just a little time, organisation and commitment.

Every confirmed uplift helps ensure our volunteer drivers’ time and fuel are used wisely — and helps more life-changing equipment reach those who need it.

WTH Volunteers from the “dear green place” worked hard last weekend to jam pack a 40ft container, saving over 500 items lift transforming aids from landfill.

*The Central African Republic (CAR)* has one of the highest and most severe rates of extreme poverty in the world, affecting roughly 70% of its population.

Some key Stats for you.

* Extreme Poverty: Nearly 70% of citizens live on less than $2.15 a day.
* Food Insecurity: Over 54% of the population cannot afford enough food even if they spend all their money on it.
* Displacement: Roughly one in five Central Africans are displaced internally or live as refugees.

Along with our amazing equipment donors and volunteers and in partnership with SWAN and UDES UK - we loaded a 40ft HC container filled with 627 life transforming, mobility and medical aids.
