As schools start back tomorrow we have a number of young people who will be moving up into the next age group!

Springhall Youth Project is on a short break at the moment but you'll find our team out and about in Springhall during normal group time over the next few weeks 😊

And here we are... the round up of our final few weeks of SWYDT's 2026 Summer Programme!

It truly has been an incredible summer and we have certainly been kept busy with lots of sports and outdoor fun, trips, themed days, challenges and overall just making lots of wonderful memories with our young people 🙌

But as they say, all good things must come to an end and as everyone gets ready to head back into school and college etc, we hope you will agree that this summer has definitely been one to remember ✨️🤞

Our final themed drop in of Summer 2026 is TODAY 🙌

We'll have our Festival Facepaint & Glitter Bar set up alongside some bracelet making and one of the most highly requested activities... Karaoke!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Community Fun Day yesterday, even the wet weather couldn't put a dampener on the day and it means a lot to us that everyone still came along!

From our partners in organising the event (WCRC) and SLC Gala's & Festival Fund for all their support 'Behind the scenes', to the stall holders and vendors who helped bring the day to life, the wonderful local businesses who donated prizes, anyone who popped by on the day and ofcourse our amazing young people & volunteers who put in so much graft both on the day and with all the prep in the run up, we truly can't do these things without you all so thank you!

A special mention and thank you goes to:

With all the Fun Day prep going on we haven't quite got round to doing our week 5 and 6 Summer Programme round up just yet, but we couldn't see the week come to an end without saying a big thank you to Pamela and the team at LETS ROLL Roller Disco for inviting us along today 😊🙏

Young people from our Juniors, Pre-Seniors and Seniors groups enjoyed an additional summer trip thanks to the kindness of Pamela and her team and we loved getting to visit their new venture over in EK!

After a bit of a wobbly start (and some great advice from those in the know) our young people soon got into the swing of things and were wizzing their way around the rink like pros 🛼🙌

✨️Community Fun Day- Sun 9th Aug ✨️

We are busy putting the final touches on our preparations for tomorrow's event and excitment is building as we cannot wait to welcome you all along 🙌

We are kicking things off at 12pm sharp with the wonderful dancers from AJ Dance opening the event and will also have a performance from Studio One Dramatic Arts later on in the day too 👯‍♀️🎭

We have a fun packed programme lined up and remember, all activities are free! The only cost on the day will be if you wish to purchase refreshments from the BBQ or visit our market stalls 😊

We are always very grateful to have a great turnout for our events, but we do kindly ask that if you are driving to the event to please park considerately to ensure safe access for residents and emergency vehicles. The WCRC carpark will be closed to ensure the safety of our guests however there is ample parking nearby at the local shops if needed 🚗

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

🎂 Happy 30th Birthday Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre 🎂

A huge thank you to the WCRC team for inviting us along to their 30th Birthday Celebration today!

What a wonderful event to mark a huge milestone and we even got to see our very own Maisie receive her prize as she was named winner of the 'Meeting Pod Design' competition 🙌 Congratulations Maisie and we can't wait to see your design brought to life soon 👀

We are so grateful to be based out of such a busy and caring centre that truly is the heart of our community and we massively appreciate the ongoing support we receive from the WCRC team 🙏

Here's to many more years of partnership working and creating as many opportunities as we can for our community together 😊
