Great news ! The Local Place Plan (LPP) of Queen's Park Neighbourhoods (QPN) - has been validated by Glasgow City Council and will form part of the City Development Plan 2. That means that local people's ideas and views will influence decisions about how our land and communities should develop. It is already being used by our Community Councils to inform and back up funding decisions like the Neighbourhood Infrastructure Improvement Fund and Area Partnership spending (see https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/article/2646/Communities-central-to-decisions-on-23m-infrastructure-investment , https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/areapartnershipgrants )

If you'd like to help build on the LPP and take ideas forward then they would love to have you onboard. Just email them at [email protected]

You can look at the QPN LPP here :

We have SO MANY exciting things coming up in August and September - we’re going to be working on event pages for each of them over the next few days and will be posting links with more info about each of them, but we’re too excited to not share this rundown of what’s on at the Reading Room over the coming month.

Everything free/pay-what-you-choose, but most require booking - so keep your eye out for Humanitix links to book tickets over the coming days.

The venue will be closed during these times except to event participants!
