DEVELOPER'S APPEAL DISMISSED - HOUSES AT DULLATUR ROAD/KING'S DRIVE

I am pleased to have just been notified by the Scottish Government's Planning Directorate this afternoon that the developer's appeal against the decision by North Lanarkshire Council to refuse planning permission for five houses on the land at Dullatur Road and King's Drive has now been dismissed.

This means that the Scottish Government's Reporter has agreed with the decision to refuse planning permission for this area of land. This is for much the same reasons as before - in that the development would have an unacceptable impact on the Green Network/Green Belt.

We have been contacted by a local resident regarding the playpark area in Glen Lochay/Glen Lednoch.
The resident has asked that if you feel this is something you would want to be looked at for improvement then let your local councillors know.
Unfortunately, we can not progress these types of improvements as a Community Council.
