We’re pleased to share that Art Psychotherapy is now available at The Marie Trust as part of our Counselling & Psychotherapy Service.

Art Psychotherapy offers a different way to explore thoughts, feelings and past experiences, particularly when finding the words can be difficult. Using art materials, people can express themselves and reflect with the support of a qualified Art Psychotherapist.

We offer:

Group Art Psychotherapy
One-to-one Art Psychotherapy
A safe, inclusive and trauma-informed space
Support to explore feelings, build resilience and improve overall wellbeing

You don’t need any experience in art to participate.

Great to see this important knowledge exchange around Ask and Act and for The Marie Trust to be involved with our partners at Govan Law Centre and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. We are proud to be leading working homeless prevention within mental health hospitals as part of The Scottish Government Test and Learn Pilot in identifying risk earlier and getting people the right support at the right time.

🏠 Homelessness is not just rough sleeping. Know your rights.

For people across Glasgow who are experiencing homelessness or worried they may soon lose their home, knowing your legal rights can make a huge difference.

Homelessness can include sofa surfing, staying with family because you have nowhere else to go, living somewhere that is unreasonable to remain in, or having to leave because of violence or the threat of violence.

Yet misinformation can prevent people from accessing the help and accommodation they are legally entitled to.

That’s why Law Centre’s “Myth vs. reality on homelessness” fact sheet are so important.

It explains some of the key protections available under Scots law, including that a person making a homeless application must be offered suitable interim accommodation while their application is considered.

If you are homeless, worried about becoming homeless, or supporting someone who is, understanding your rights is an important first step.
