Last week, Cadet Flight Sergeant Barr gained the prestigious Gold Leadership Badge attending newly launched Royal Air Force Air Cadets Gold Leadership Course.

One of only a handful of Scotland & Northern Ireland Region cadets and the only cadet from West Scotland Wing, FS Barr worked his way through a very intensive week, engaging fully in the inaugural course that included, top class leadership lessons, team-building exercises and discussions with influential leaders.

He has returned to the squadron with fresh enthusiastic outlook on leadership and ready to share his new skills with his fellow cadets.

This is a 2nd Gold badge for FS Barr, making him the first 1089 cadet to hold two in a very long time!
