Our The Magpie's Nest shop is undergoing some internal changes to make more space for our customers. The first wave is done, pop in and see what difference it has made...

There will be some more changes happening next week too...

Big thanks to Eddie and Kevin from our van team for putting their shop-fitting hats on this week and getting the new racking up.

If you pop in this weekend you’ll notice some big changes! We’ve been brainstorming how to make the shop feel more open and fix some space issues and over the next week or so there should be some major improvements underway - the first step was increasing our mens section!

We are currently doing so many packs every week, we have run out of toothbrushes. We normally have a massive crate full of them, but they have been dwindled down to zero left. If you are out at the shops and can afford to pop a toothbrush or three in with your shopping and drop it down to us at our office (7 Harmony Row, G51 3BB) or into our The Magpie's Nest shop where our donation sorting room is (25 Burleigh St, G51 3LA), that would be massively appreciated.

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9-5, and the Nest is open Monday to Saturday 9:30-5:00pm, every donation is a help and very much appreciated.

Since January, we have been delivering more packs each week than usual, and this has continued throughout the year so far, to the point where today we have reached something of a milestone. We delivered our 1000th starter pack so far this year.

We're not quite half way through the year and have already delivered over 1000 packs. This is shaping up tp be our busiest year ever, by some margin, and likely to be the first time we support over 2000 households in a year.

We couldn't do this without your support, so massive thanks to everyone who continues to support our team with donations, volunteering time, shopping at our Magpie's Eye Gallery () and The Magpie's Nest () shops, or just following and sharing what we are up to on our socials, thank you for being the wheels on which we roll.

If you can ignore the constant rain, you might be feeling like doing the classic Spring Clearout, and if you are and you have excess bedding and towels in the house (if you work in a hotel or airb&b even better) and would like to clear some out, please get in touch and can put them to good re-use in our starter packs.

They van be dropped directly to our office at 7 Harmony Row (G51 3BB) Monday to Friday 9-5, or can be dropped to our donation sorting room at our The Magpie's Nest shop at 25 Burleigh St (G51 3LA). They are open Monday - Saturday 9:30-5:00pm and can take a couple of bags at a time.

We ran out of towels this week for the first time in a while. We are delivering so many packs every week at the moment, that you wouldn't believe how much stock we are getting through. It's an incredible support for folks starting over though , so a wonderful way to make your unwanted linen do some good.

Big thanks to everyone who went to the Playpiece club night on Saturday and raised £130 for us for pack items, thank you very much!

The money's in from Saturday and we made £130 for Starter Packs Glasgow! Lovely work guys, thanks to everyone who came along! That's £2489 for good causes since the relaunch 😎

So that was April... another very busy month, with 162 starter packs being delivered across the city, supporting 274 people in our communities ( 173 adults and 101 children).

Thank you for supporting us to do what we do, 2026 so far has seen us deliver 688 starter packs, supporting 1164 people (743 adults and 421 children). Its been an extremely busy few months.

Massive thanks to Kevin and Cooper who have been with us all week from West College Scotland volunteering with our Van Team. They've spent the last five days, charging about all across the city delivering our starter packs and they have been a huge help, so massive thanks from us. Good work folks.
