A reminder about our event tonight being held tonight at Arup’s Glasgow office.

The topic is ‘Glenmuckloch Energy Park: repurposing an open-cast coal mine for pumped hydro storage’.

Doors open at 1730hrs with the presentation beginning at 1800hrs. Please note that this event is a hybrid event with limited ‘in-person’ space available.

Happy New Year to you all.

We hope the festive period has you rested and raring to go!

Our next event is a joint event with the ICE Glasgow and West of Scotland Group and covers an update on the Coire Glas ground investigation works and will be presented by Jessica Smith of SSE Renewables.

The event is being held in-person at the University of Strathclyde as well as being online on Tuesday 14 January 2025, with the presentation anticipated to commence at 1800hrs.

Coire Glas is the first large scale pumped storage hydro scheme to be developed in the UK in over 40 years and is located in the Great Glen of Scotland.
