What’s on your doorstep?

This International Day of Older People, we're celebrating the creativity, connections and community that can be found right on our doorstep.

For the members of our Craft Café groups, that might mean meeting a friend, trying something creative, sharing skills and stories, discovering somewhere new or simply having a welcoming place to come together.

Our older participants bring so much creativity, experience and connection to our communities, and we're proud to create spaces where those contributions can be celebrated. 💜

Make It Your Own is a free creative programme in Falkirk where you can get support to turn your new place into a home that feels like you, and you could get a £150 shopping budget to help make it happen! 🛋️

You'll work with professional artists and interior designers and learn creative skills you can use in your own home, including:

🧵 Sewing & upholstery
🪑 Furniture upcycling
🔨 Woodworking

We’re looking for an Art Therapy Co-ordinator to join Impact Arts in Edinburgh and help coordinate a new group Art Therapy service across four secondary schools.

You’ll be supporting our Art Therapy team and working with schools and partners to help create positive experiences and outcomes for young people.

Our CashBack Summer participant Mylo recently joined Stephen Jardine at Camera Obscura for the press launch of Doors Open Days Edinburgh, proudly showing off the booklet he and other young people from our CashBack to the Future programme created artwork for. 🎨

You can see some of their fantastic artwork, alongside creative work from members of our Craft Café, at St Michael’s Parish Church this Saturday and Sunday.
