📋 HR Bitesize: Fixed term contracts are widely used across the voluntary sector, but they can be misunderstood or even mishandled.

Did you know that employees on fixed term contracts have many of the same rights as permanent employees? And from January 2027, employees with more than 6 months' service may be able to bring an unfair dismissal claim if their contract isn't renewed.

Voting in the Glasgow Third Sector Forum elections opens on 19 October, and all Forum member organisations will have the opportunity to help choose representatives who will contribute to policy development, partnership working and strategic discussions across Glasgow.

The Forum is free to join and open to third sector organisations across Glasgow. By becoming a member, you'll be able to vote in the elections and help ensure the sector's experience and expertise are reflected in local decision-making.

⏰ Application deadline approaching

There's still time to apply for the role of Care Governance Board Director with AntonineCourt but applications close on 16 October.

This voluntary board position is an opportunity for someone with experience in health, social care, quality assurance, regulation, governance or risk management to make a meaningful contribution to the oversight of care quality and safety.

As part of the Board, you'll help provide assurance, scrutiny and constructive challenge, supporting continuous improvement and positive outcomes for people using services.
