☀️ We're joining forces with the Glasgow 2026 Legacy Network for a free summer social - a month out from the Commonwealth Games!

Here’s a peek at more of the line up for this relaxed, free evening (food and refreshments provided 🧃!)

👋 You’ll get an introduction and an invite to the Legacy Network, with a few provocation questions about their work (which we can discuss over food and refreshments!)

♻️ and Arts Resource Management Scotland join us for a special joint introduction to their work, setting some key legacy intentions around environmental sustainability in the cultural sector.

☀️ Summer Social contributors ☀️

Ahead of our CWG Legacy Summer Social next week with , we're shining a light on the brilliant folk presenting on the day. Here's some of who you'll be hearing from:

🪩 Chris Kane from will reflect on Whacking Weekender, 3 days of community, parties, panel discussions, workshops, nature walks and more!

🗣️ Helen Mill from will talk to us about their recent success of a festival, and how stories and storytelling can play key roles in community and culture.

🎲 Steve Howe from will talk Gathering the Tales and the Games - a community-led storytelling, tabletop role playing and creative participation event taking place this summer.

💃 Pauline McCloy-Turtle from .studio brings a special programme announcement for OPTIKA: A Day and Night of Digital Art + Electronic Music for Glasgow 2026, an artist-led event at SWG3 on 25 July bringing together electronic music, immersive visual culture, realtime technologies and audience participation.

💥CULTURE 💥MATTERS! 💥

Thank you to everyone who came along to talk Artist Basic Income last week at our final Culture Matters event. It was such a fruitful event and it felt amazing to be in a room with such a collective feeling!

✍️ 1,000+ people have signed ’s Open Letter in support of the basic income for artists pilot!

Scotland is clearing asking for change - so at our third Culture Matters event, we're asking the big question: should artists in Scotland receive a basic income?

We'll be hearing from campaigners, researchers, and practitioners who've lived and studied this issue, including voices from the Basic Income for Artists campaign and Ireland's national pilot scheme.

This is a free, open conversation, with drinks and networking before the panel 🍻

Another lovely Member’s Meet! ☀️

Thank you to everyone who attended on this sunny last Thursday of the month!

Special thank you to the BA Arts with Community student cohort for sharing what they’ve been up, such an inspiring course.

We also spotlighted Katie Proven , Sawsan Al-Areeqe, Peilin Shi and Rafael Tsantes from - as always, hearing from our members is one of our favourite things, you amazing busy creative bunch! 🤩

🥘 The winners of our PITCH POT!

At last week’s Pitch Pot event, we heard from eight amazing pitchers, and the room voted on their favourites.

In second place - Ese Johnson from Mind to Matter Ceramics! The pot will go towards producing an Afro-Caledonian exhibition spotlighting Black artists in Scotland.

In first place - Glasgow Glass Studio - who will use the pot to develop a new dedicated education and visitor space for heritage craft!

👏 A huge thank you to all our pitchers for sharing their ideas and to everyone who joined us to make this night such a success! We’ll be following all the projects pitched with extra support and mentorship.

🥘 We can’t wait for PITCH POT!

The event is an opportunity to be among the very first to hear about the seeds of new creative projects in the city. The best part (apart from the food, the people, the vibes...) is that you get to contribute to awarding a micro-grant to your favourite just by buying a ticket.

💥CULTURE 💥MATTERS! 💥  A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the second Culture Matters event that explored what kind of cultural legacy the 2026 Commonwealth Games could leave behind.  It was a busy event, and we’re so grateful to our speakers for bringing such depth, clarity and care to the discussion and to for creating space for these conversations to happen!
