Jewish Council of Scotland - JCoS The Jewish Council of Scotland (JCoS) is the representative body of all the Jewish communities in Scotland.

We advance public understanding about the Jewish religion, culture and community, and develop and provide information and assistance to educational, health and welfare organisations. We represent the Jewish community in Scotland to government and other statutory and official bodies, monitor the Scottish Parliament and liaise with MSPs and others on matters affecting the Jewish community. We work i

Mazel Tov to Susan Siegel our new Chair, and Barry Berlow-Jackson who joins us as Vice-Chair - we look forward to working with you.

Our statement following the horrific attacks from this past weekend in Edinburgh.

Our solidarity is with everyone affected and with the wider Muslim community.

Hatred directed at any community has no place in Scotland. We will not let acts like these define who we are. They stand against everything we work for: a Scotland where people of all faiths, and of none, can live as neighbours, in mutual respect and genuine friendship.

We continue to call upon our political leaders to take a decisive and unified public stance to eradicate this from our country and society.
