Inclusion and collaboration are at the heart of our mission. We work with deaf and hearing actors, theatre makers, artists and young people. We reach out to those often excluded from the arts. Working more inclusively and collaboratively makes us think in radically different ways. It shapes who we work with. It inspires us to play with new ways of storytelling. It influences the stories we tell, and where and how we tell them.

✨ We’re so excited to share the final film from our Solar Reels Film School – The Conversation, written and directed by Joe Dunn.

🌈 We’re especially proud to be sharing this during Pride Week. At Solar Bear, we’re lucky to collaborate with so many incredible Q***r creatives who continue to inspire us every day.

🎬 Joe is part of SQIFF’s filmmaking course Saturate — we can’t wait to see what’s next. Good luck, Joe!

🌍 Today is World Environment Day 🌱
There is a lot happening across the planet right now, but nothing is more important than protecting the world we all share. Change starts with each of us – through the choices we make every day.
At Solar Bear, across both our theatre and digital work, we have adopted a set of environmental guidelines that have transformed how we purchase, travel, promote our performances, and make decisions.
It hasn’t made us any less creative, open, or accessible.
It’s simply a conscious choice. 💚

✨ How do you create a theatre play in both BSL and spoken English?
It’s a big question — and one of the most important parts of the process is translation. Taking written words from the page and bringing them to life in rich, expressive BSL.
Who better to explain than our incredible Associate BSL Director, Benny 💛
🎟️ Tickets are now ON SALE for venues across Scotland!
The play will be performed in BSL & spoken English, with captions throughout.
