Friends of MSF (FoMSF) Glasgow is a member of the FoMSF family. FoMSF is the official student support organisation for MSF (Medecins sans frontiers / Doctors without borders) in the UK and Ireland. Our aim, as a student society, is to raise awareness about MSF and to fundraise for the organisation through a variety of events. We also aim to provide Glasgow university students with the information
they may need in understanding what a career with MSF entails and the qualities they may be expected to develop. We hope to include in our list of events:
- Talks from MSF doctors to come share their experience
- Educational talks relating to humanitarian aid, tropical medicine and
working abroad
- Documentary Screenings
- Pub quiz!
- Fundraising events
For the future MSF doctors - your membership during your studies shows your dedication to the organisation!! We therefore welcome you to join the group and you will be kept up to date with upcoming events as well as interesting news surrounding MSF, its projects and more general topics relating to humanitarian aid work and tropical medicine.
