Glasgow Sling Library

Glasgow Sling Library Glasgow Sling Library (GSL) is a not for profit social enterprise. We run stay and plays, infant feeding and parenting support groups.

We offer tailored 1:1 consultations, free sling sessions and baby box wrap workshops and sling hire. A friendly Glasgow based peer-to-peer community for parents, & parents-to-be. Join us if you already wear your baby, or want to find out more about slings & carriers. Whether you are familiar with slings, wraps and carriers, or totally new to everything babywearing then you are welcome to come along. Ask questions and share what you know.

💙 Tuesday — Consultations & Sling Clinic appointments available

💙 Thursday — Consultations & Sling Clinic appointments available

🧡 Friday — Raindrops Stay & Play + drop-in babywearing support, 10:30–12:00

🚪 Saturday — Closed

Funded options are available for both full 1:1 Babywearing Consultations and Sling Clinic appointments, so please don’t let cost stop you from getting support ✅

Whether you need help with the wrap from your Baby Box, want us to check a carrier you already own, or need a bit more time to find the right carrier for you and your baby, we’re here to help 💙

Need some help with your Scottish Baby Box wrap? 😅

If it looked lovely and straightforward in the instructions… then somehow became a huge mass of overwhelming grey fabric, you’re very much not alone 💜

Come along to our free Baby Box Wrap Workshop this Wednesday, 7th October at 11am, and we’ll show you how to use your wrap safely and comfortably, step by step 🫶

We’ll cover:

✅ how to tie it

✅ how to get baby positioned well

✅ how snug it should feel

✅ the key safety checks

✅ little tweaks that make the whole thing much easier

No need to have tried anything beforehand, the whole point is to practise with support. Bring bump, granny, your partner or your friend, have a cuppa, and leave feeling a while lot more confident trying it at home! 💛

Three babies, three wraps... but do you know the difference? 👀

Stretchy wrap? Woven wrap? One-way stretch? Two-way stretch? 🤔

They might all look like long pieces of fabric, but the way they stretch, tighten and support your baby can e surprisingly different, and that affects how you use them too 🪢

Understanding what type of wrap you have can make a big difference when it comes to getting it snug,m supportive and comfortable 🫶

Good luck, Hannah! 🤞🍀

This Sunday, our amazing consultant Hannah is taking on the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run and raising money for Baby Loss Retreat - After care Support 🕊️ 💙

This is a cause very close to Hannah’s heart. After the loss of her son Rufus, Baby Loss Retreat - After care Support 🕊️ provided counselling and support at a time when she really needed it 💔

So on Sunday 4th October, she’ll be running for Rufus, for herself, for her family, and to help make sure other families affected by baby loss can access support too 🧡

💙 TUESDAY & THURSDAY
1:1 Babywearing Consultations
Our longer, in-depth appointments for finding your first carrier, comparing different options, moving on to something new or learning skills like back carrying and woven wraps
✨ £35 for 75 minutes (funded appointments also available)

💚 WEDNESDAY
Sling Clinics
20-minute focused 1:1 appointments for fit checks, adjusting your own carrier, Baby Box wrap help or trying one library carrier option
✨ £10 for 20 minutes (funded appointments also available)

🌈 FRIDAY | 10:30–12:00
Raindrops Stay & Play
Come for a cuppa, a chat and some social time for you and your little one. You can also collect or return carrier hires, browse our shop and ask for carrier recommendations, fit and safety advice.
☕ Free drop-in, no booking needed

🤰🏼 SATURDAY | 1–3pm
We’re heading to East Kilbride! Come and visit us at the Lynsey McGillivray | Midwife & Birth Coach Pregnancy, Birth & Postnatal Event. We’ll be there to chat about babywearing, carriers and the services we offer and the event is FREE to attend 🧡

As well as offering hires and fitting support, we also have a range of ring slings and carriers available to buy in the studio 🌈

You can try different options, get them fitted properly and work out what actually suits you and your baby before buying 🤱

We stock a selection of carriers from brands including Ergobaby, Lenny Lamb, Kahu Baby, Beco, Mamaruga, Tula and Dracomom, and can often also offer a sling library discount when purchasing direct from other brands 🛍️
