North View Housing Association

North View Housing Association North View is a community controlled housing association located in the Windlaw area of Castlemilk. North View became a charity in March 2002.

Messages are not monitored 24/7 so for all enquiries, please contact the office directly. The Association was formed in November 1993 when we acquired 162 unimproved properties from Scottish Homes. Since then property numbers have increased through development, Tenants Choice transfers, and stock transfer to just less than 700. We also provide a factoring service to approximately 70 owners in the area, and we are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of public green spaces in the area – the largest being the Windlaw Strip – and common backcourt. The vast majority of our properties are mainstream rental, but we also rent properties to organisations that cater for people with particular housing needs, and have developed a small number of flats and houses for the owner occupation market. Most of our housing stock consists of refurbished post Second World War tenement flats, but approximately 35% is new build – the majority of which are two storey ‘back and front door’ type houses. Our charity registration number is SC032963.

☀️ Good morning everyone!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.

We’ve got some exciting news to share with you this morning!

We’re delighted to announce that Good Food Scotland is working in partnership with the good folks at Ardenglen Housing Association as The Castlemilk Pantry begins its transition to a new Community Shop model.
🛒 💚

From October 2026, the new Castlemilk Community Shop will be based at the Birgidale Complex, continuing to provide access to affordable food for the local community, while giving members more choice and helping create a more sustainable model for the future.

This is a pilot project, and we’re really looking forward to working alongside Ardenglen Housing Association, members, volunteers and the wider Castlemilk community as we get it up and running.

The new Community Shop will also sit alongside the wider support already provided by Ardenglen, including links to money advice, energy advice, digital support, tenancy sustainment and other community services.

We’re really excited to be bringing the Good Food Scotland Community Shop model to Castlemilk and can’t wait to get started! 💚

Following a fire at Shieldhall, Glasgow City Council is unable to accept our bulk collections. Until it is re-open, the Association will not be collecting any bulk items.

*September Weekend Public Holiday*

The Office will close for the September Weekend on Thursday 24th September 2026 at 4.30pm. It will re-open on Tuesday 29th September 2026 at 8.30am.

For EMERGENCIES (such as boiler breakdown, or escape of water) please call 0141 634 0555 to reach the out-of-hours service. For all other enquiries and repairs we ask that you contact the office on its re-opening on the Tuesday.
