North View Housing Association

North View Housing Association North View is a community controlled housing association located in the Windlaw area of Castlemilk. North View became a charity in March 2002.

Messages are not monitored 24/7 so for all enquiries, please contact the office directly. The Association was formed in November 1993 when we acquired 162 unimproved properties from Scottish Homes. Since then property numbers have increased through development, Tenants Choice transfers, and stock transfer to just less than 700. We also provide a factoring service to approximately 70 owners in the

area, and we are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of public green spaces in the area – the largest being the Windlaw Strip – and common backcourt. The vast majority of our properties are mainstream rental, but we also rent properties to organisations that cater for people with particular housing needs, and have developed a small number of flats and houses for the owner occupation market. Most of our housing stock consists of refurbished post Second World War tenement flats, but approximately 35% is new build – the majority of which are two storey ‘back and front door’ type houses. Our charity registration number is SC032963.

We will shortly be posting out notification of our AGM on Wednesday 16th September 2026 to all our Members.

Anyone can be a Member - you just need to be 16 years of age or over and either a tenant of the Association, a service user, or have an interest in our work. We particularly welcome those with an interest in housing management, building and maintenance, financial management, and community improvement.

Being a member allows you to vote at our AGM and any Special General Meetings we may have. It also entitles you to stand for election to the Management Committee. All you need to do is complete an application form and hand it into the office along with £1 to buy your share. The Management Committee will then consider your application at its next meeting.

The deadline for new applications to be considered before this year's AGM is Friday 21st August 2026 at 4pm. Please either pop into the office for an application form, or give us a call and we'll pop one in the post!
