A special thank you to our amazing Unite Scotland Kinneil Band for leading our May Day bloc through Glasgow today.

After travelling all the way back from Birmingham from their competition yesterday, where they secured an incredible 3rd place finish and earned promotion to compete in the Senior Cup next year, they still turned out in force and brought energy, pride and solidarity to the march today.

You did us all proud, both on the competition stage and on the streets today. Thank you for everything you do.

A huge thank you to trade unionists across Scotland who made this past week so powerful and visible.

From events marking International Workers’ Memorial Day to the energy and solidarity on display at May Day rallies across the country, your commitment makes a real difference.

Your presence reminds everyone that working people deserve dignity, fair pay, and safe conditions; not just in words, but in action.

When we stand together publicly, we strengthen our collective voice and ensure it cannot be ignored. We also pay tribute to those who came before us; those who organised, protested, and sacrificed to win the rights many rely on today. Their legacy lives on in every workplace where people stand up, speak out, and support one another.

Solidarity. Always.

Happy International Workers’ Day!
This May Day, we celebrate the strength, solidarity, and resilience of working people across Scotland and around the world.

From safer workplaces to fair pay, every gain we’ve made has been won because workers stood together in trade unions.

But trade unionism isn’t just history, it’s power in the present.

It means:
📣 A collective voice
📈 Better wages and conditions
🦾 Real influence over the future of work

When we organise, we don’t just improve our own lives, we raise standards for everyone.

Join us at trade union rallies happening across Scotland this weekend. Stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow workers, celebrate our achievements, and demand a fairer future for all.

Solidarity forever.

Huge congratulations to our Rep Chris Hamilton on winning this years Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) Organising Award.

A familiar face across Grangemouth, Chris has been at the heart of the Keep Grangemouth Working campaign.
The past few years, there hasn't been a day you wouldn't find Chris around the arcade, precinct, or even at your door to spread the word about the refinery closure.

We are all incredibly proud of the work you have done Chris, well deserved for the tireless effort you have put in campaigning for Grangemouth.

Join us in congratulating Chris below ⬇️

Our Chair Heather and Women’s Committee Chair Vicky travelled from Scotland to Belfast, carrying the Women’s Committee banner in support of the fight against gender-based violence.

This video captures Unite’s speech by Susan Fitzgerald, and dedicated to our member Natalie Egan.

We stand together in remembrance, in solidarity, and in our shared commitment to end violence against women.
