Cancer and nutrition workshop - Friday 4 September, 11am-12.30pm
Learn more about healthy, nutritious diet. Overview of Eatwell guidelines and portion sizes and discussion of common cancer and diet myths

Managing dietary challenges workshops – Friday 11 September, 11am-12.30pm
Managing appetite changes, including reduction in appetite and changes to taste. Discussion on weight gain/weight loss and adjusting diet when experiencing bowel issues.

Practical cooking session – Friday 18 September, 10.30am-12.30pm
Prepare, cook and enjoy a healthy, nutritious meal in our centre kitchen. Lots of fun and laughter included!

Getting Started with treatment @ The Beatson sessions

We work in partnership with the team at the Beatson to provide workshops for people getting ready to start their cancer treatment. These sessions offer practical advice and information on chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. These sessions are open to anyone having treatment in the Beatson and their family and loved ones. No need to book, just come in.

Monday – 9.30am
Tuesday – 11.30am
Wednesday – 2pm (this workshop will cover radiotherapy only)
Friday – 9.30am

Here at Maggie’s, we provide support to family and friends in many ways, whether through 1:1 drop in support, having a cup of tea whilst waiting for someone or attending our classes and workshops. We run a monthly Friends and Family group – this is an informal, friendly space for you to meet other and gain information and support. The group is led by the Maggie’s team.

Come along to a Look Good Feel Better workshop. Workshops are open to women with a cancer diagnosis. Step by step advice on skincare and makeup application to complete a natural, radiant look. Learn practical tips and techniques, including how to enhance sparse eyebrows or loss of eyelashes, to help you look and feel like you again. You’ll also receive a gift bag with skincare and cosmetic products suited to your skin tone.
